Shattered Jackie from FNAF - 3D Printing Files

Hey all! This post contains the 3D printing files for "Shattered Jackie" from our latest video.Due to the nature of this project, these objects are are solid, and not hollowed like you normally see with our models. My suggestion is to just print with low infill and use as-is!Oh, the teeth are numbered from left to right, and some of the teeth are an extremely tight fit... we just sort of jammed them in there since it doesn't matter. :)The files include her head, all the face/head details, and her hands. Enjoy!

Bon Animatronic - 3D Printing Files

Here are the 3D printing files for the Bon head, the animatronic we madefrom the Walten Files and for Make-a-Wish!Model by: Beardless PropsOur Print Settings:Material: PLALayer Height: 0.28Walls: 3Infill: 15%These aren't overly difficult objects to print so you can adjust settings as you see fit. When you're 3D printing parts for animatronics, you're often trying to balance weight vs. strength, so these settings work well for us.Since this was a custom build using the skull head, we don't have any obvious mounting points. We did...

Making the MOST EVIL Triangle!?

Can triangles be evil? This one is!Bill Cipheris the main villain from the Disney show "Gravity Falls" and he's basically a chaotic evil and all powerful eldritch menace in the form of a floating triangle/pyramid. He can do anything, control people's reality, turn them into things, make anything he wants happen, and he's a complete lunatic. He's fantastic. :)Gravity Falls ended a while back but the creators just released a new book called The Book of Bill that is an completely unhinged look at this backstory and all kind...

Withered Foxy - 3D Printing Files

Here are the files to print your own Withered Foxy!Model by: Beardless PropsA couple things to note:There aren't any obvious mounting points on these models. Everything we did was very bespoke and custom to the makeover so we kind of just glued and added pieces to mount it in the best way we could. You'll need to figure that part out for your own costume! The head and snout are HUGE so account for that when you glue it together and use it for your costume, prop, etc.Print SettingsNothing special, we used PLA and ran it at 0.28 layer heig...

Sneak Peak: Withered Foxy

Home Depot has some great Halloween animatronics this year! One of them is "Captain Cuts" the grizzly pirate and we used him to do our most ambitious makeover ever... Withered Foxy! The video above is from our most recent incomplete head test. Awesome right?! Still have a ways to go but its coming along great. As one of the most requested characters we've ever had, this build has been a long time coming...but we wanted to make sure it was REALLY GOOD so we've been waiting for the ideal animatronic idea to use.Since Foxy is a pirat...

Pumpkin Scarecrow πŸŽƒ PVC Frame Measurements

Hey all! Linked below are the measurements we used for the PVC frame on our pumpkin scarecrow. Our recommendation is to use these as a starting point and adjust based on your needs. Some Tips:Knee Joints are Optional (if you want to bend legs).Use a mix of 45Β° and 90Β° Connectors (for Variety) ...OR you can 3D print Wicked Makers’ PVC Connectorsfor more angle options.Lower Legs are Slightly Longer to account for adding shoes/feet.There's no gap between connectors at hips (you'll still need a 2" piece for each connector).Optionally...

3 NEW HALLOWEEN PROJECTS πŸŽƒ(New Video This Week!)

Super excited to show you guys this upcoming video! It has 3 brand new projects that can all be built in a day or two with no special stuff. This Pumpkin Scarecrow is made from a PVC frame, pool noodles, some duct tape, recycled grocery bags, and sticks! We got some clothes from the grocery store and some old hay for his clothes. His head is made from a talking pumpkin prop that Home Depot has this year. The Spider is made from instructions from Aurelio Voltaire's new book "Gothic Life" and it's incredibly easy to make. Some metal...

Upcoming Mystery Project...Sneak Peak!

A few months ago we got an incredible email from the Make-a-Wish Foundation after they had received a very unique wish...a custom spooky animatronic of "Bon" the Bunny from "The Walten Files".The Walten Filesis an animated horror series on YouTube. It’s a sort of FNAF-inspired, mascot horror where some animatronic characters at a burger restaurant come to life and get up to all sorts of no good. It's ultra creepy!!Long story short, there's a special kid who really wants an animatronic of this and we decided to take on ...

We Moved to a New Workshop! (and House..πŸ˜…)

Hey y'all! It's been an absolutely insane chaotic few weeks. We finished filming an entire project video (more on that below) andmoved our entire house all in the span of about a week. Well sort of.For about a year now we've been casually looking at getting a new house that would solve a few issues:A. We work from home and we need more space to work. More space for projects!B. We want said workspace to not encroach on actual home space, so we need more house. Apparently storing giant animatronics in the living room isn't "pr...

The Puppet from FNAF - 3D Printing Files

Hey all - here is the The Puppet mask 3d printing STL, sculpted by Beardless Props! It should fit in a single print on a 256mm x 256mm bed. If you print in the single piece, you'll need to use supports on the underside! I used a variable layer height and all the way down to 0.08mm on the very top to get the finest resolution I could.Enjoy! Sneak Peak: "The Puppet" Animatronic

We just got back from an incredible weekend at Open Sauce 2024, a Maker/Creator conference in San Francisco dedicated to Engineering, Science, and Art. It was incredible! We got to visit Adam Savage's workshop as well as Mark Rober's Crunchlabs, and we spent a ton of time with some of our favorite friends and creators like Evan & Katelyn, Nerdforge, Little Gem, and like a hundred others. It was incredibly inspiring and I can't recommend this show enough! It was basically like an adult science fair overflowing with incredible stuff!!...

The Scissor Mech Works!

After a few days of cutting, welding, drilling, and experimenting, we got it all working!!As you can probably guess, the character (or boxing glove? or whatever lol) will get attached to the end and it springs out super fast when it's turned on!One of the tricky parts is that you can see the bottom of the first piece has to slide up and down to compensate for the vertical positioning as it extends. Some people use curtain track for this but we couldn't find any so we used some aluminum extrution and a little sliding thing we had from a ...

Building a Pneumatic Scissor Mech βœ‚

We're getting started on our next project, which is going to be using this pneumatic "scissor" to do a lunging jumpscare kind of thing. It's going to be awesome!!(We've got a character in mind but we'll talk more about that in a later post.)Basically the way this works is the scissor gets pulled back and then extends forward via an air cylinder. Depending on how you build you can extend this REALLY far too which is super cool.I designed this version in Fusion and this week we'll be attempting to build it.There are lo...

Ink Demon Head - 3D Printing Files

Hey all! Here is the full Ink Demon head model, sculpted by Beardless Props! This one uses the same standard 75mm x 75mm mounting plate on the back. I've also included the parts for the Jaw mechanism in case you want to make that as well! If you're simply attaching the Jaw, you'll want the L and R hinges and can ignore the center pieces (in Part 3).Let me know if you have any questions. 🀘🀘~JayOur Print Settings:- Layer Height: 0.20-0.28mm- Wall Loops: 4- Infill: 20%- Tree/Normal Supports as needed (Automatic)- Material: PLA

Ink Demon: First Animation Test and Update!

Good morning, y'all! We're in the home stretch on the Ink Demon this week as we wrap things up and push for the final details. This week a lot happened! We completed the duct tape form and tin foil body shape, though we decided not to do the additional layer of spray foam and to just build out the finer details like his ribs, muscles, fingers, etc. using more tin foil. It leaves a slightly different texture but gave us WAY more control over the details than the spray foam would. We also built the hands using bendable armature wire, which ...

Ink Demon Update, also..ONE MILLION SUBSCRIBERS!!

We hit 1 million subscribers on YouTube! Hard to believe we've come this far since starting a little side project in our garage, but here we are! Somehow it still feels every morning like we're just getting started...I hope that never fades away, so let's do this! The Ink Demon project is going fairly well so far, we've hit a couple of big obstacles but so far we've been able to overcome them as always! We completed the steel frame but immediately ran into problem #1: the small cylinder at the waist was not up to snuff and cou...

SNEAK PEAK: Ink Demon Animatronic from Bendy! (Also...we learned how to weld!!)

Hey all! We're about a week into our next big project and as usual we've taken on something insanely awesome: the Ink Demonfrom Bendy and the Ink Machine! This is another highly requested character that we've been reluctant to build in the past just due to the sheer difficulty of it. The skinny body, the shiny, sculpted inky skin, the huge mouth, all very challenging stuff to make and we just didn't know how to approach it.After doing DogDay though and discovering that building a steel frame is not just within our grasp but proba...

Hey folks! Here is the full DogDay head model, sculpted by Beardless Props! The default size is BIG since it was modeled for our animatronic. It can be resized, just keep in mind the mounting hardware will need to get a bit smaller too.Approximate Dimensions:- 20" Wide- 18" Tall- 16.75" Deep (Back of Head to Tip of Nose)We had zero issues printing it and had no concerns about surface quality since it was going to be painted and furred. Our Print Settings:- Layer Height: 0.20-0.28mm- Wall Loops: 4- Infill: 20%- Tree/Normal Supports (Au...

Wiper Motor PVC Mount - 3D Printing STL File

Hey all! As seen in our CatNap animatronic video, I designed a custom wiper motor mount for 1" pvc pipe and here is the file! It gives you a way to sturdily attach your wiper motor parallel to your PVC so you can build your own animatronics! You can see this in action here: https://youtu.be/Fh6mimCibhQ (around the 3:00 mark!)It has three holes to mount to the PVC that were designed for M3 (3mm) bolts. They're a bit oversized to allow for positioning and a little flex in the pipe.It also has three holes to mount a wiper motor. I designed ...

Sneak Peak: CatNap Animatronic!

Hey all! We're a good ways through our next project video which, by a significant margin, is our most highly requested creature to date. He's called 'CatNap' and we've had THOUSANDS of requests to build him in just the last couple of weeks alone.Basically he's a super creepy, giant evil cat. πŸ˜…Not sure if the Cheshire Cat was part of his inspiration but he's purple and has a giant mouth so definitely some vibes there. He's from the newest chapter of the game Poppy Playtime. We started with a PVC frame and we&#39...

3/4in and 1/2in Adapters for our PVC Joints!

As requested by many, here are two new adapters for use with 3/4" and 1/2" PVC pipes! You can use these with any of our 1" PVC parts to convert them to smaller sizes. The thinner pipes will definitely be cheaper, but just keep in mind they'll also be a lot more flexible and less rigid!Occasionally, depending on brand, there are tiny differences in the sizes of some PVC pipes. I'd recommend printing a couple of these and bringing them to the store with you to make sure you get pipes that fit. :)Enjoy!~J&J

Building Animatronic Mickey - Introduction

Welcome to our new Patreon series! If you saw the "Nightmare Mickey" animatronic build on YouTube, you'll be familiar with this project, and in these videos we'll work through not just how we made the animatronic stuff, but also how to fix the issues we had (and will continue to have...).First and foremost, this is not a definitive, simple tutorial on how to build the perfect thing. This is an ongoing, work-in-progress project where we’ll continually share what is working and what isn’t, and how we go about improving it.But ...

Nightmare Mickey: Jaw/Mouth Animation

We got the jaw working!! Took a couple of days of trial and error but it works and we're happy. :)The video above is our first test with all four movements: the 3 head servos and jaw, all at once. It's being controlled with a Playstation controller so it still takes some puppetry to make it move, but there is so much life to it!!Still lots of tweaking to go like dialing in the limits on each servo to make sure they don't bang into each other, and making sure things are in optimal positions, but it's SO COOL to see it all moving....

Nightmare Mickey: First Animatronic Test!!!

Today was fun!! After gluing the four quadrants of Mickey's head together we were finally able to test the head animatronic. We learned our lesson on Springtrap not to wait to long to test things....so we bolted the mech onto his head and gave it a go!To our surprise, it worked just fine right off the bat!!! (We're not used to that... πŸ˜…) We had this genuine moment of like, "Wow, we're getting better at this, it didn't crumble into pieces and fall apart!" which felt really good.Plenty of work still ahead, but now that ...

Happy 2024! We're working on a brand new "from scratch" animatronic this month...a 3-axis head mech on a custom 3D model of a withered, broken down "Nightmare" version of Steamboat Willie-era Mickey! Moving head, moving jaw, glowing eyes...also we can control it with a PlayStation controller... it's going to be AWESOME!!We're starting with just the head for this video and if it works and you guys like it, we'll continue on this year and build out the rest of the body and continue to develop our own animatronics f...
