How and why I bought a condo in Japan

Just finished my second video in the Japanese condominium series so I'm releasing it here on Patreon first (will go public tomorrow evening)! Sorry for the rambling and frequent tangents in this one—I'm not used to recording without some kind of script so I was a bit nervous at first haha.If anyone as any questions definitely leave a comment below and I'll address them in the upcoming Q&A video. I also wanted to let everyone know that I anticipate having to delay Japanese Phonetics 54 by about a week or so from the usual release schedule due to the moving process and related complications. I apologize for the trouble, and thank you for your understanding in this matter. In the meantime, I'll continue to upload more videos related to the condo, as they require little to no editing. Hope everyone can enjoy this supplementary content during the short setback!

Preach! Never been to Kasugai but have been in Nagoya a fair bit and the prices there were very close to those in Tokyo. I definitely prefer the outskirts as well! ^^

I have no plans to purchase properties in Japan, but... I just have to respond to the way you ended the video: whatever shortcomings you may think you have in your impromptu presentation skills, I watched to the end because you made it legitimately interesting.

Definitely agree on Tokyo. I didn't live there, but I did live near Nagoya and everything was so much cheaper just 30-40 minutes out of the city. A 3LDK in somewhere like Kasugai could be as low as ７万円 per month whereas in the heart of Nagoya, you'd get a 1K for the same price. People tend to overlook the neighbouring areas in favour of being in where the action is but the city is just as accessible. In the end, it depends on the person, but as someone who doesn't mind living out of the city I'd definitely go the cheaper, more spacious option!

I absolutely agree with what you’re saying about Tokyo, and living near cities in general. I actually moved to Tokyo to be with my fiancée but both of us are sick of Tokyo now and want to move to a smaller city and also not too close to the city centre. Thanks for all the information, there’s a lot to digest. Good luck with the moving!
