Progress Update

I wanted to check in and update you on the status of this update for Endowed. It’s… well, I’m having way too much fun with it.
It’s been five updates for Hypnosis since we got the last update of Endowed. How crazy is that? So I’ve been having a great time jumping back in with the characters and storylines. Only issue is, I keep digging into more of it than I really should at the moment. Biting off more than I should chew. A third cliché saying.
I figured since this update is so focused on Kat and Allison, it would make sense to add their bigger introductions in the first chapter, right? Totally. Done! And it's pretty good! Oh wait, their dialogue is now incompatible with later scenes, and now dinner with Kat in Chapter Three needs to be rewritten, otherwise the conversation repeats itself from before.
All stuff I planned to do anyway, but still, getting a bit ahead of myself. And some of the other stuff I’ve been trying to complete, mainly a few of the endings/connecting scenes in the Going Home path, are still unfinished.
I’ve been wanting to release it anyway, but I want this to feel like a worthwhile update after such a long wait, and I don’t want to give the experience of playing it and finding a few “to be continued” endings in a row sour the experience for anyone.
I did make an effort to organize it all better. As I mentioned before, my frustration with the going home path with most of Allison and Kat’s content was how scattered it felt in replaying it. Multiple endings are great, and a big part of the appeal of playing a narrative focused game, in my opinion, but if you don’t know how many there are, or how to find them, or if they’re even worth playing in the first place based on what you’re looking for, what’s the point?
Sure, the whole “I went and found it myself” experience is fun for some, but other people enjoy organization and sign posts, which is a big part of what I’ve been attempting since. One way I attempted to do this is in conversations with the girls themselves – being asked what you’re into, and the girls attempting to make that happen for you.
This makes much more sense than relatively arbitrary directions for endings based on unforeseen consequences to earlier choices. It doesn’t need to be an Easter egg hunt. Sure, some of it can be, but not the majority of it all.
So, like I said, I’ve been having a little too fun with it all, but I’m going to give myself a deadline to finish as much as I can. Once I’ve finished testing the walkthrough system, labeled the endings correctly, and double checked all the visuals and whatnot, I'll see if I have any time left over to complete some of the additional endings. Most are focused on Kat, and already written, they just need the visuals, so I'll see how far I can get with it all.
So, what's this deadline? Let's go with Monday the 21st.
I’m excited to get this update out to you guys, I’ve just been hoping to make the Going Home update pop more this time around than it did the first time.
