yea, artstyle and intense of combat, impact of hits etc, for example humanoid kaijiu in anime looks like he back from rehab xD in manga he is skinny too but u feel this creepy scary aura. i know u don't read mangas, but its rly nice to compare manga episode after u watch it already in anime

Just to clarify a bit more on the Kaiju number ranking system: a Kaiju's designated number has nothing to do with a Kaiju's power level (only the fortitude has to do with that). Kaiju No. 9 is called that because it's the ninth Kaiju to possess enough abnormalities to be considered a higher threat than a regular Kaiju, and Kaiju No.8 was initially given a number as Kafka successfully escaped from the Defence Force, something that episode 2 said had never happened before. The story will hopefully explain further, but it's easier to think of number Kaijus as codenames for specific anomalies- No.9 speaks, has shown intelligence, and affects other Kaijus; No.8 escaped and has been witnessed to kill other Kaiju (ep 2 again, and later when Hoshina suspected he was the 9.8 fortitude during in ep 4). This means that so far where the anime is at, there have only been 7 other Kaijus that been so different from other Kaijus that they were given codenames. Hopefully that makes sense!

The animators absolutely cooked this episode was fantastic🔥🔥🔥 Kaiju No.9 thought this was JJK with that Barrier but Kafka absolutely destroyed him he is lucky Kafka got distracted it would have been a wrap for him😂😂😂

Kaiju no 9 did domain expansion and put up a veil like JJK lol. I think the numbers for the kaijus like no. 8 and no. 9 is the order which the Defense Force has encountered them, and they only number really strong kaijus, so Kafka is the 8th super strong kaiju they've encountered. Production IG was putting in work this episode, the animation was PEAK.

Hoshina's slashing is literally Muchiro from demon slayer, he is using Mist breathing technique to kill Kaiju NO 8 (Kafka）😭💔. I mean Hoshina is badass, but this is a bad situation for Kafka
