In Nicolas's safe house, Aiden sat in front of a black, paste-like substance that seemed to defy the laws of physics.
Jacob lifted a spoonful high with a spoon, and the paste-like substance kept escaping from the utensil like it had a mind of its own.
"Uh, Nicolas, what is this?" Aiden's eyebrows drew together toward the centre, slightly raised in obvious concern.
"You know, I am merely immortal, not imperishable. Please forgive us two old folks who are over 600 years old. There are not many foods that we can consume anymore, but I recommend you try it. After all, this is something Perenelle researched, and it actually tastes quite good."
Nicolas scooped up a spoonful and put it in his mouth with practised ease.
Aiden also took a spoonful and put it in his mouth under Jacob's incredulous gaze, his expression remarkably neutral despite the substance's unusual appearance.
Perhaps it was too much to ask Jacob, a skilled pastry chef, to eat this questionable substance. Aiden pulled out the food he had bought earlier from his pocket and handed it to him.
"Oh, you brought your own food?" Mrs Perenelle emerged from the kitchen.
"My friend is American—there are some foods he is not used to." Aiden showed an innocent smile that could have charmed a dragon.
"Oh, that is my oversight. Do you need me to go buy you some other food?" Perenelle looked at Jacob with genuine concern.
"I will eat this, thank you." Jacob choked slightly on his words, then looked up and smiled with forced politeness.
While everyone was dining, a crystal ball nearby suddenly began to flicker with mysterious light.
"Oh, it is actually reacting. I thought this thing was broken." Nicolas started to get up and retrieve it.
Aiden directly used an Accio spell to bring the crystal ball smoothly to the dining table.
The crystal ball emitted a weak glow, and shadowy images began to appear within its depths.
"Oh, I think I have seen this thing at an exhibition—a masked fortune teller woman. I gave her money, and she helped me predict the future."
Jacob waved the flame pancake in his hand and pointed at the crystal ball with obvious excitement.
"Nicolas, did you reverse-engineer a prophet's magical circuit and install it into the crystal ball?" Aiden saw through the secret immediately.
"This took me a very long time, but fortunately I do not lack time."
Nicolas was somewhat proud—after all, impressive achievements should be shown to peers for maximum recognition.
The crystal ball's image began to frequently flash an eagle statue with ominous significance.
Jacob even saw Queenie's familiar figure in the swirling visions.
"Oh, Queenie!" He immediately rushed to the crystal ball with desperate hope.
"Queenie, baby, wait for me there." Jacob tried to call out, but the person in the image paid no attention to his pleas.
"Where is this?" Jacob looked up at Nicolas with urgent need.
"The Lestrange family mausoleum, also Père Lachaise Cemetery." Nicolas answered him with gravity.
"Oh, thank you so much." Jacob grabbed Nicolas's hand with a crack that made both men wince.
"Ooh!" both exclaimed simultaneously.
"Sorry, sorry, I have to go first." Jacob quickly grabbed his luggage with frantic energy.
"Aiden, help me watch Mr Squid Tentacles...?" Jacob pointed toward the sofa, but it was already empty.
"Never mind." Jacob shook his head and immediately rushed out the door.
"Wait, do not go to the cemetery!"
As a wizard who had lived for 600 years, Nicolas naturally knew what cemeteries meant in prophecies, but unfortunately his warning came too late—Jacob had already left.
"Young Prewett, you must stop them, or many people will die tonight." Nicolas looked at Aiden with serious intensity.
"Nicolas, what exactly does Grindelwald want to do?"
Aiden wanted to gain some wisdom from this 600-year-old man and asked for his experienced advice.
"He plans to integrate multiple Deep Realm Kings!"
Nicolas dropped this bombshell revelation, then slowly began to explain the terrifying implications.
"The Lestrange family, ambitious beyond measure, once tried to meddle with the power of the Mirror of Erised. However, those who play with prophecy will eventually be played by prophecy, which brought upon them an extremely tragic destiny."
"Tycho Dodonus." Aiden murmured with recognition.
"I suspect Grindelwald wants to get his hands on the Lestrange family's child, then use the prophecy already affecting him to leverage an even greater prophecy. Combined with his own spreading of hatred and slaughter, he should be seeking the power of the Deep Realm Kings Hell and Resentment."
Nicolas snapped his hand bones that Jacob had accidentally broken back into place while explaining the dark magic.
"Seizing the power of Deep Realm Kings, then using the order brought by prophecy to counter pollution—this is truly... madness." Aiden frowned deeply with genuine concern.
"If he succeeds, the protection of the Mirror of Erised will fail completely. Then the Deep Realm will fall toward the real world, and a new Deep Realm King—Madness—will rise from the earth itself."
Nicolas put down his spoon and used wandless magic to pull ancient books from the cabinet to himself.
"Of course, all this is based on the premise that we do not resist." Aiden also finished the food on his plate and stood up, preparing to leave.
Inside the room, Nicolas opened a book where a female figure appeared in the portrait with an urgent expression.
"Just as Dumbledore said, Grindelwald has appeared, and he wants to touch the Deep Realm." Nicolas looked worried, his tone also uncertain.
"Then you must go, Nicolas." The woman in the portrait said with firm conviction.
"What? I have not fought anyone for two hundred years, and there is already a Prewett family child who has gone." Nicolas stepped back nervously.
"Nicolas, the Prewett family attitude is quite ambiguous. We cannot completely trust them, so we can only rely on you. We trust you." After the woman finished speaking, she ended the communication.
Outside, black curtains shrouded all of Paris as Grindelwald summoned his followers with dark magic.
"Grindelwald is summoning his followers. He must have found Credence." Tina looked at Newt with growing alarm.
"Tina, we need to go to the French Ministry of Magic. There should be records there." Newt grabbed his case and pulled Tina along to hurry on their way.
After Jacob left Nicolas's house, he anxiously ran toward Père Lachaise Cemetery, but with a flash of space, Aiden appeared in front of him and stopped his desperate advance.
"What?" Jacob looked at Aiden with complete confusion, extremely anxious at the moment.
"It is too early to go now. What you saw at Nicolas's was a prophecy. Queenie will not appear until the time comes. Let us go find Newt first." Aiden explained patiently.
"Okay." Jacob calmed his anxiety slightly and followed Aiden with reluctant trust.
Aiden reached out his right hand to grab him, and with a flash of space, swept Jacob into the dimensional void.
Outside the French Ministry of Magic, the surrounding tree branches sensed someone wanting to enter. They extended thick vines to form an elevator, with Newt and Tina standing outside waiting.
Newt pulled out a potion and poured it into his mouth with practised efficiency.
"Oh, Polyjuice Potion?" Tina recognised the smell immediately.
Newt's face began to contort painfully, and soon he transformed into another person entirely.
"This is my brother Theseus. He is an Auror and also a hugger." Newt winked at Tina with his new face.
The two ran to the elevator and entered the Ministry with purpose.
On the other side, the British Department of Magical Law Enforcement group had already arrived at the French Ministry of Magic.
Leta saw Theseus walking in and asked, "How is the situation?"
"Grindelwald has summoned his followers. There will be a rally tonight. They suspect Credence is your brother." Theseus asked Leta directly.
"My brother is already dead!" Leta raised her voice with painful emphasis.
"I know, but the records here might reveal something. I will help you search." Theseus left without looking back, determined to find answers.
