That was in there pretty much from the start. I had Melody and Allison be a relatively new couple still in that early puppy love phase because that fit their behavior. Jodie and Faith were supposed to be the more mature ones in comparison, so they've been dating longer. And I quickly decided that, since the player doesn't get to see those moments for the other couples in-game, it would be the most satisfying if Claire and Beverly were still in the crush phase at the start of the game and you got to see their confessions and the start of their relationship. I had to have at least one scene like that in the game. I also figured this fit Claire's emotional growth the best. And when I finally decided on Verena and Zinnia's relationship way down the line, I figured they had to be married, both to continue that theme of couples in different stages of their relationships and because the moment of the reveal just has WAY more impact if Verena calls Zinnia her wife.

**endgame story spoilers** since Verena and Zinnia’s relationship wasn’t planned from the start, at what point, if at all, did you decide for the game’s four main relationships to all be at different stages? (unconfessed crush/just started dating, dating for a few months, dating for a few years, and married)

I generally saved my plans in an Evernote notebook synced to the cloud, though Evernote really sucks now, so I've since moved everything over to OneNote. But yeah, within the SLARPG notebook I'd have one main document with my main to do list and a giant, semi-organized bulleted list of various ideas for the game (enemies, skills, puzzle mechanics, etc.), and then on top of that I had more specialized documents for things that needed to much detail for the main bulleted list. I had one with all the dialogue that wasn't in the game yet sorted by when it would occur in the story, one dedicated to ideas for Verena and Javis's lore, one with the proper story outline, and so on and so forth. I also have a private World Anvil world with lots of pages on characters and locations and whatnot, but that's for more "final" ideas that are ready to be shared with my collaborators, as opposed to my own scattered thoughts.

this rules, I love seeing all this and getting context for your thought processes at the time. I'm sure you've mentioned this somewhere else before, but where/how do you keep all this stuff? like did you just have a big text document with hypothetical dialogue/jokes/ideas that you slotted into the game as needed, or what? organizing my ideas in advance is something that's kinda been a hurdle for me in planning a game
