Instead of using the term "level", I think it would be better to default to "realm" or "stage". Also, there's a bit to much focus on qi (as in it comes across a bit too much like mana). I've always understood qi to be more of a medium, the vital breath, rather than the actual substance. So instead of "fire qi", maybe just keep it as "mysterious fire", that interacts with (but isn't) qi. The same with aura: just call it aura.

Huge disagreement here on the first point. "Don't" feels way more natural. Never in my life can I remember hearing someone say "do not" as a stand alone phrase. It's always paired with a verb of some kind. Your suggestion doesn't feel remotely idiomatic for spoken English in the south eastern USA. I think for the 3rd point 'could' fits much more in line with Jin's character than a more direct threat. 2.) Is actually a good change.

>“Don’t!” Contractions lessen impact, should be spaced out to; “Do. Not.” >“I will only repeat myself once,” Liu Jin says Repeat should be replaced with, “say,” otherwise it sounds like he’s planning on saying things twice. >“I could kill you.” Passive voice lessens his rhetoric, “could,” works but would be better to replace with, “will,” like Liu Jin is actually promising consequences instead of only speaking in hypotheticals. Grammar aside, it’s neat to see Jin slowly slide into who his father was, he’s aware that he doesn’t like using threats/violence to get his way, but he’s left with no other option. He got away with using threats this time, but it’s only a matter of time before he has to act on his words.

my prediction is this Xun fellow will be made the new elder of the medical pavillion.

Kiwilord

Possibly but I think her background is hidden. I could see that becoming the plan now if her secret is released

Kiwilord

Lu Mei has been and continues to be my fav character. Great scene

Kiwilord

It means she has Feng blood, aka, a secret bastard child

David Frerich

So, Lu Mei is of Feng blood? (a relative, propabily not sister of Feng Zhi) and Xun Huwen was promised to marry a girl of Feng blood. My conclusion: Lu Mei was promised to the now release Xun Huwen as a wife. Well thats a clusterfuck :P

Geese

Would someone remind me of the significance of the last scene? I'm drawing a blank.

Amelgar

she used it awhile ago during the Bright Phantasm Sect arc

Hangwind

That's a lot of revelations for a single chapter.

Robert Mullins

Whelp, that explains why she said she shouldn't spend too much time next to members of the Feng family.
