I completely agree with your analysis especially around with scheduling. This is a tough problem and one that Microsoft is predisposed to screwing up. One thing that gives me pause is that lakefield was a product that Microsoft asked for. They wanted it for their “duo” product (now delayed) which signifies significance beyond monetary but strategic. This has me thinking that it’s at high importance at Microsoft and they are working to get the scheduling right. What’s your thoughts on whether Microsoft will crack this?

Seems like rational logic, I think DDR5 is way off yet for us mere mortals. I think Windows will adjust to the big / little cores but it will also take time to become optimised. I know Apple have more control over this with the M1 for now, but on older models just running Windows on a Intel Mac performs way faster than MacOS and boots so much faster. I think we'll still see something special from Intel.
