Public update - Nobuko's evening gown
🕑 Added 2018-01-09 22:00:00 +0000 UTC This week's imageI thought I'd show this one just to show how I've got this particular dress to fit Nobuko quite well - getting the bust to work for her is hard on many outfits, but here I think it worked out. I also wanted to try a pic with the city outside the window showing nighttime. (You might have seen a daytime version of this location in the teaser demo - it's Nobuko's apartment.)
This close-up version will probably be for when you have a conversation with her. I feel compelled to mention also that these pics take ages to render - all those subtle reflections as well as the complex environment outside the window really make this a demanding scene on my hardware.
Anyway, I've actually been continuing to tinker with Nobuko's design a little. She's got the most divided reactions so far, but I think that's in part a fault of the way I've presented her. Still, that doesn't mean there's no room for improvement. This version is the 18th so far, which I'm pretty happy with for now.
Coming this month
The next $10 release for PAL is planned to include a bunch more work on the daily interactive scenes with the women - finishing off the unfinished Kimiko and Fumi scenes, as well as completing the as yet almost entirely unfinished Masami scene.
At the same time I'll release PAL 1.4.1 to the $5 tier, which includes a bunch of updates since the last $5/public version.
Just a quick update, since this is a public one. What do you think of Nobuko's new outfit? And what about the plans this month? Let me know in the comments!

Glad you like it!

Nobuko is great with this dress.
Makes sense; I wouldn't take my comments too much to heart, this is just my impression of the character just based on the pictures (haven't played the demo yet). I will say that I thought some of the facial expressions in some of the pictures are actually quite hot though. Also I think most people are more on your side on this one. I'm the weirdo here. =P

Well, this is evening wear and she's aiming more for dressy elegance. Her daily outfits are things she'd mostly only wear around her apartments, but at the same time she's a neglected housewife who sticks with a spunky, casual from before she was married. So I feel like it all suits the character; but then I'm always kind of biased toward revealing clothes. :)
I know I haven't been the biggest supporter of this character, but this actually looks really good. A lot of her outfits thus far have felt a little overly revealing for my tastes (though I get the gym clothes), so I guess I've sort of felt like she was trying too hard to show off the goods. This dress she is wearing here actually feels a bit more effortless in a way ... though I realize the irony in that i took way more effort. =P
