I hope this post finds you all in good health.
As you know, I've not uploaded anything in several months. After getting through a nasty lung infection in May-July β thankfully covid was ruled out β I sustained a back injury which became increasingly incapacitating. I continued to work and make headway on a few projects but had to take longer and longer breaks over the day to ease the pain.
In October things finally seemed to improve. Then one morning in December I found I couldn't walk. The pain was off the charts. It felt like I was being impaled and having my limbs wrenched off. I've never experienced anything like it. It took some agonising weeks for an assortment of doctors to escalate my pain medication to anything approaching an effective strength. I'm now on a morphine-based cocktail that allows me to stand up and move around for 10-15 minute periods before the pain gets too much and I have to lay flat.
Having some scans in the next few days and hoping to get a clear picture of what's going on. Will let you know how things go. For now I just wanted to give you this update.

I wish you all the best and wish I could help you, but sadly healing someone over the internet is not part of my dangerously big and shallow skill list. I did, however, increase my pledge for all I could.

So sorry. I remember waking up once in so much pain I couldn't walk. But I knew probably why I had thrown my back out, while your symptoms sound so much more mysterious, so it must be hard not knowing. Hang in there.

It breaks my heart to know that you are in such pain. I dearly hope that you soon feel greater relief from it.
That is really bad news. Feeling-wise I had something similar four years ago. I had an inflammation of the nerves in my spine - and it caused the kind of pain you mention. I wish you all the very best. I watch your videos over and over again and they have given me so much clarity. Thank you for that and a speedy recovery!
