The flipped leads on your $160 board made my day, thanks for sharing! 😄

Getting footprints for transistors wrong is something that started happening to me as well after switching to Kicad. Having that default library and the flexibility to pick any footprint for a symbol, leaves room for these easy mistakes.

Twisting TO-220 legs to fit an incorrect footprint <3 I had to do that on the first "proper" PCB I designed in KiCAD and ordered from OSHPark - and somehow my first attempt at twisting the leads around each other *still* got them in the wrong order, so I had to grab a second one and do it again! 😹
