Am I hearing squeking from the motor driver? Sounds annoying even thru youtube :O

It extends past the bearing block and shaft coupling to the motor mount. That's a bit wasteful, the stiffness of the thick steel plate is only needed between clamping plate and axis carriage. The spindle hopefully make it look a little more balanced, but it's not really that giant
