Delidded lazing
🕑 Added 2018-11-25 19:10:28 +0000 UTC The last thingy is actually an argon laser with variable wavelength if it works ... Low power but probably a nice teardown? Or does anyone know a proper application for something like that?

For any kind of metal ablation it really takes a pulsed laser with a high energy, these kind of continuous wave modules I have would just make the metal a little bit warmer. Hair removal tho? That could work, any volunteers?

One application of the argon laser is pumping of Ti:sapphire femtosecond lasers. Could spend a couple thousand on a Ti:sapph gain medium and try out two photon polymerization. Good beam quality out of them in general, could do some fun stuff with holography as well. Other than that, they're just pretty.

Could be a good, if *slightly* overpowered laser for PCB lithography? Or hair removal? :P

Not if I can help it, valuable screen time would be wasted on my ugly mug :)
