Also: 100 EUR mu metal roll has arrived. For a static magnetic field a small section performs about as nicely as an entire roll of the YSHIELD stuff I've demonstrated before. And it can be soldered, which makes a real hermetic enclosure possible!
I'll keep both references running for a little longer and see if I can find a bit better temperature chamber ;)

No, I don't even own a data logger, but you are right, it would be interesting to see the exact curve over the first few weeks

Do you have a data logger hooked up to the LTZ's while they are stabilizing? Both the output voltage and the data from the temperature sensors would be useful to log. I have been trying to get everything to build one of these references as I have 2x HP 3456a's that need some love and my university does not have any standards or recently calibrated meters. The PCB and the LTZ are the last parts that I still need. Keep up the awesome videos as well!

Mu-metal was also used by ReVox/STUDER for the shielding of their repro and record heads (analog tape recorders) and in many mech parts of their great products, this is my main field of application! :-)
