Made a curing bucket too ...

As you suspected, it is actually terribly inadequate! The resin provided with the Moai printer is a special blend for a laser system, needing a lot of UV energy to cure. A regular print takes hours in the bucket to fully harden and to stop stinking. DLP and LCD printers come with much faster curing resins ...

I'll be curious to see how this gets on. UV is a term bandied about but most things that are UV sensitive have quite narrow bands where they really are... as I found out as a callow youth playing with UVA black-light and expecting it to erase EPROMS. Then playing with UVC and getting a bad case of arc-eye. I did retry a few years later with various different EPROMS with wider/different requirements and a single UV LED placed right on the window... still no luck. There are various "glues" that cure with UV LED so maybe the resin is in the same boat.

I don't have anything important either but I can think of some small models that I'd love a print of.
I will take one to scale 3d bannan, such a precise tool is a necessity in any modern workshop.
