🕑 Added 2018-09-04 19:46:04 +0000 UTC Couldn't put this down unfinished :LMoai resin printer with actual laser and galvos instead of LCD or DLP! Took 5 hours to assemble and generated 60 GB of raw video footage. That has already been documented extensively tho.
What hasn't are some mods, like a higher power laser, different vat materials like FEP for exotic resins (ceramic?) an f-theta lens for uniform focus in a larger area ...
I hope I can make a Formlabs-killer for half the price in the end.

I am feeling the same about fast internet :) Back in my days we had to hack into the telephone line and transmit data by strange hissing sounds. Kids who grow up with MB internet on their smartphones will never know the struggle

Back in the eighties when I counted my age in single figures, lasers were part of some magical future with levitating skateboards. The sad thing is, now that the house has no end of laser emitting devices, it's very easy to just take it all for granted.
