simply remembers each path it has been through and makes decisions accordingly navigated by the inbuilt Gyroscope.
With each time of cleaning, it is also a process of ESLAM mapping that helps your robot cleaner get smarter and more customized for your home environment.

Maybe it had a bad experience with a previous owner, have you got any dog biscuits to entice it out from under the bed?

If it chose random directions after hitting an obstacle, it would be better than this. It seems to make systematic decisions which lead to it getting stuck
