🕑 Added 2018-06-16 20:13:03 +0000 UTC Got a BLDC in a NEMA23 enclosure: https://www.ebay.com/itm/162789541036I've replaced the standard magnet encoder (green PCB ring) with a CUI AMT102 so that ODRIVE can try and operate it precisely. I couldn't get it to work just now because there are a lot of changes in ODRIVE firmware and software ... and my botched Python doesn't want to update without putting up a fight 😩

+1 it's annoying cause it's yet another thing to learn and set up but it's worth it imo. Saves lots of headaches in the end

Re Python: try Anaconda, Marco. It's kinda like virtual environments but way more convenient, also isolated from the system Python install.

We need a simple Linux OS that lets us install all precompiled windows software while never causing dependency issues or conflicts. That is all.
