Precision motor chaos
🕑 Added 2018-04-05 09:10:03 +0000 UTC Trinamic and ODrive were a bit difficult to set up, but now all are chugging along nicely!I've got a feeling that the blue Chinese hybrid thing will be my choice for the CNC machine and ODrive will be the motion control system for the new laser machine or a robot arm that might be coming ...
Trinamic is also wonderful obviously, but they are really a chip manufacturer and since I am building a CNC machine and not a stepper motor driver I don't really want to work on a component level this time.

I agree with the art installation comment. Would watch and listen this for extended periods of time :)
Mount that on a board on a wall and you have a beautiful art installation ... or a care-free replacement for a bird-cage ;)
