I am not sure what disagreeable means in this case, but joining the discord server seems like a good response
I don't think reverse polarity protection is needed, especially since this is not a big production of these for the wider market. As long as the user knows, you should be fine

I don't think so, but the circuit is so simple, that it can probably be figured out in 30 min
