+1 for the precise steppers. I am a noob and need to build a motor which can help me move around 3mm with 0.01 precession :P so it would be extremely helpful to see someones approach to this

EXTREMELY precise stepper motors! I've been wanting to build my own reel to reel tape deck with clearpath servos because of their crazy accuracy and software. I've gotta learn all I can about motor controllers. I'm stuck, as I'm clueless how to get them to work in "real time" rather than following a predetermined tool path.
