An actual update on the progress of development
🕑 Added 2019-05-04 00:43:06 +0000 UTCI'm planning to take a long break this month due to burnout from school and overworking, leaving me in relatively poor health condition but before I go I'd like to showcase what stage the game is at right now.
Gameplay
The gameplay is functional...I say this because bad things happen when artists try to code and while it technically works, the code is messy. Everything is considered placeholder and I'm still at the prototyping stage.
- Collect items- Various species of flowers will be scattered around the map. Collect them to learn about them.

- Interact with objects- Touch various objects in the environment and read monologue.

- Dialogue- Talk to the locals! Hear about who they are, request advice and trigger events. (character assets from 3 months ago are finally being imported)

- Bike around- Ride the motorcycle to traverse quickly.

- Train- Take the train, either by skippable time travel or enjoy the calm ride.
Story
I don't think I need to share the story too much, the structure is written and I've started writing the dialogue. I also think I should slowly start showing many of the Yokais soon when they get more polish. Truthfully I don't want to spoil things by revealing all the characters, so I need to figure out who to hide and show before making moves.
Spoilers!
Plans for the future
Fun fact, I've been working on a much smaller and easier to manage project on the side. Hopefully the release of this second game will prepare me for the main game, and I'll try and release the mini project for free for patrons so keep an eye on that! Thank you to all that are supporting me so far, but I am off to rest for a while.

Thanks for reading! ٩(♡ε♡ )۶

The person reading this is sexy and epic
This looks absolutely fantastic, it's like a dream come true to be able to just calmly and quietly explore a small and cozy place in Japan. But as we've all said before, take your time, and I'm really glad you know to take care of yourself and your mental health. Don't feel bad about taking a break, you need it, enjoy your break :)
