10 Animated .Gifs from DOCTOR BEES FOREVER
🕑 Added 2025-11-02 19:22:32 +0000 UTCEvery gif in this update has been animated, cleaned up and coloured in the past 10 days. I've created even more than I can cram in here, but I wanted to showcase that I am well and truly LOCKED IN.
In the past few months I've worked as hard as I can reasonably expect of myself, but have fallen short of releasing Dr. Bees Forever in the time frame I wanted...
I often think of the quote attributed to Churchill "When you're going through hell... keep going". Obviously, nothing about drawing cartoons could ever be equated to "hell" (unless you happen to be an animator on Big Mouth lolol), but sometimes I need to remind myself that the only solution to an unfinished project is to actually finish it.
This is really just an update for you, my dear patron, to let you know that I'm picking up the pen and sitting down to draw, every single day until, this ridiculousness is unleashed - and I'm nearing the finish line.
Is the resulting 10 minute absurdist superhero cartoon going to be actually worth the effort? I don't know...
That will be for you to decide.
All I know is... that I am looking at my peers a lot lately. What Zeurel is doing with Monkey Wrench, what the Flashgitz are doing with Space King etc... and their grand achievements inspire me to produce more, longer, better cartoons. It's impossible at my current level of resources, but that hunger is motivating, and keeping me drawing every hour I can.
I have some plans for how things will improve in 2026, and these are plans I will put into effect in a post Dr Bees Forever and post Starbarians Episode 4 world. Those two cartoons are my obligations right now, and then I will attempt some stylistic and workflow alterations to increase my capacity and output. Life is short, so more cartoons are needed in less time.
With your kind support, that is still possible.
I really think this bloody thing will be done this month. Fingers crossed.
