WHAT'S NEXT? And being ""realistic""
🕑 Added 2024-04-05 14:22:18 +0000 UTCHello all,
Thank you so much for another month of support. Things have a been quiet around here but rest assured I've been head down and pencil pushy!
I'm happy to say that progress on the comic is going well and I'm currently on track to have all 100 pages finished in JUNE! It will probably be later in the summer that the comic is uploaded here for STARBARIAN tier patrons to enjoy, after I get confirmation that the first physical copies are shipping.
As for animation? I am ITCHING to get back to it...
Killgar's Kode 2 was surprisingly successful on Youtube, clocking in at nearly half a million views in under a month! It's been a while since a video has performed like that and it's invigorated me hugely. The urge to release something else as soon as I can is strong, but another "short" or "side project" would just delay the projects that demand completing...
Starbarians 4 and Dr Bees 4 are the "white whales" I've had in my telescopic sights for too long now, so all excess resources are going to be put towards finishing them while I work on the comic, starting with Starbarians 4 (the oldest, wrinkliest whale). My stern belief is that all 3 projects (including the comic) WILL be finished in 2024!
Check out this tasty Killgar gif that I sent to Storktoons (Sven) earlier this week for cleanup and colour!
I'll be in touch again soon with more animation and comic developments.
THANKS FOR HELPING ME MAKE STUFF!
Love,
H

I knew what I was getting myself into 😉

Thank you Trevor. Making this kind of entertainment is all I've ever wanted to do, so I'll never go away for long. I just want to do it bigger and better, and I think the comic can help me fund/do just that :)
Harry Partridge
Sorry that you have to wait SO patiently, but I still think 2024 will be a good year. Thank you for your continuing support Max xxxx

Nah I'mma make tuna outta that sucker!! Thanks Paul :)

Jazzy! Glad you're making progress and are already geared up for the next project when this one is done! I tend to find some talents I follow get one project done then sort of trail off into nothing 'productive' (in the Patreon sense). So having someone with ambitions on the plate is always refreshing!

As always it excites me to hear what's coming! I am patiently waiting, but rest assured my hype is growing by the minute 😆🫡

As long as the wrinkly white whales don't drag you down into the depths of the ocean as they did at the end of [major spoiler about 19th century American literary classic redacted], then all is well, Harry.
Harry Partridge
Haha, thanks Anthony!

I love Kilgar's expression on the first panel of the second page.
Harry Partridge
It's available through Indiegogo! I'm not sure how or where the physical version will be released after the campaign - potentially this is the only place to get it. https://igg.me/at/starbarians

Thanks Gregor! It's the roughest "rough" animation I've done, I'm sure Sven can save it!
Harry Partridge
He's taking a basket of goodies to Grandma.

I didn't know you were making a physical release? Can you tell me where it will be available once it releases?

This shot of killgar is so awesome I can't wait to see it cleaned up!
Tarranium
I like how Killgar looks like he's skipping along to a happy little song.

Yeah the B&W in digital would be very cool
Harry Partridge
Thanks Russ. I guarantee violence.
Harry Partridge
It should be easy to turn off the colour layer and export a B&W version of each page, I'll see what I can do :)

That double kick is clean af

Ahh, you're too kind. Digital would be good with me, I'm just loving the black and white pages so far! Feels very 'Walking Dead'.
Harry Partridge
Thanks Harry! So for a B&W physical version? It's not possible sadly. It requires a totally separate print run. As for a digital B&W version?? That IS possible! I think you're the only person that has expressed interest in it so far, but that's not to say I wouldn't make the extra effort ;)
Harry Ashfield
Can't wait. Any update on a potential black and white version of the comic?
