Infinity Train Shorts 1-5!
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~That’s all we’re doing for tonight. Fun skits, mostly, though there’s a few tidbits of lore scattered here and there! Juicy stuff, when we get it. The Randall bits really made me laugh, I liked that a lot.Not a lot to talk about, though.Up next is going to be shorts 6-10, which I’ll be doing on Friday! That’ll be fun. In the meantime, I’m going to be streaming more of The Outer Worlds! I did my first stream last night, and I’m currently debating whether I want to do more tonight. I’m no...
A Place Further Than the Universe episode 8 part 2!
Click here for the full episode.Click here for just this part.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~What a good note to end on. The wonder of that horizon, seeing their first traces of Antarctica up ahead.Mari continues to show why she was the one who brought this group together. She’s a real doofus, a ridiculous person in a few ways, but she’s also the glue that holds them together, that reminds them of what they’re here for. This is Shirase’s story, but it’s because of Mari that they ever set sail in the first place.Man, I just really like these character...
Baccano episode 9 part 2!
Click here for the full episode.Click here for just this half.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Well, that was interesting. The Rail Tracer being just a mundane dude who happens to be an acrobatic assassin was not something I saw coming in this tale of magic and immortals. I’m not sure how to feel about it yet, really? He’s certainly a man on a mission, though.I wonder how many people he’ll intentionally leave alive. Hrm.The revelation that Czeslaw’s a twisted little fuck too certainly comes as a surprise. I was expecting him to be jaded, not murderous. I...
Sales Tax
Apparently, starting July 1st, some people will have sales tax added to their patronage depending on where they're from to comply with the law. Just wanted to give you guys a heads-up.
Paranoia Agent episode 9 part 2!
Click here for the full episode.Click here for just this half.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Well, that was fun! A fun little slice of life with a dark ending. I’ll admit to liking the first half better–I thought some of that was VERY well-crafted horror–but it was pretty fun overall. Seeing a bunch of gossips making shit up about Li’l Slugger was pretty great.I’m wondering if we’ll ever have plot again, though. The first half of this series had an overarching plot, connected characters, and a real mystery. So far the followup has been a bunch of d...
She-Ra episode 13--The Battle for Brightmoon, Part 2!
Click here for the full episode.Click here for just this part.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Glimmer has been healed, Brightmoon has been defended, and the Princess Alliance is whole again. On the Horde’s side, Catra got promoted, Entrapta has even more tricks up her sleeve, and Scorpia…was there, I guess?Overall, I felt the episode was a bit cramped. Adora vs Catra got some focus, which was cool, but the villainous trio overall–who are my favorite characters in the show by a wide margin–didn’t get much screentime. It’s Adora’s show, yes, but the...
She-Ra episode 13--The Battle for Brightmoon, part 1.
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Not gonna lie, after the last couple episodes were heavy and funny in turns, this one’s not really doing it for me, especially since it’s supposed to be the climactic battle of the season. It’s mostly just…fine. I am fully prepared to be blown away by the second half, but I’m a little disappointed, honestly.Oh well. I guess we’ll see soon.Up next for the liveblog is the second half of this episode! We’ll be doing that on Friday. As for streaming, I’ve been streaming Pokemon Shield for t...
She-Ra episode 12--Light Hope, part 2!
Click here for the whole episode.Click here for just this part.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Man, that was funny. I really really liked that. I laughed out loud quite a bit. I’ll have to keep an eye on this writer, she did a great job.And Shadow Weaver! Shadow Weaver openly rebelled, got defeated, and is now in a Horde prison! I wonder how she’ll come back into play. Probably Adora will wind up meeting her when going to liberate some other captives? I can’t imagine she’s magicless now, either. Hrm.Interesting developments. And rooting for Catra is so ...
She-Ra episode 12--Light Hope part 1!
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Well. That’s pretty interesting. The last She-Ra went nuts and moved the planet into a pocket dimension? Holy shit. How powerful can Adora get? Not to mention how interesting what Entrapta’s up to is. Taking control of the whole network of Runestones would lead to some interesting things. I wonder how deep the First Ones’ tech actually goes into the planet? And god damn but I find Swift Wind creepy. There’s just something wrong about him. Yeegh. This episode is super funny though. I’m loving i...
A Place Further Than the Universe episode 8 part 1!
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~This show is just so much fun. I know I say that every wrap-up, but it’s true! Watching these girls just Be Friends is so much fun. And we’re getting to know a couple of the scientists working on the ship, too! I like them. I hope we see more of the cook and the rock nerd. This show is so good. I love it. I can’t wait for more every time I finish a liveblog of it.That’s it for this week liveblogwise, and for this month’s Patron Picks as well. Up next is going to be more She-Ra–I’ll be star...
Baccano episode 9 part 1!
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Well! That’s a pretty rapid descent into madness. I was not expecting that at all. I thought that guy was extremely dead. Now I guess he’s the one crawling all around the outside of the train? How’s he even doing that if he’s not supernatural?Man, this show is weird. I like it, though.Up next for the liveblog is going to be the third Patron Pick, A Place Further Than the Universe! We’ll be starting episode 8 on Friday. Up next for streaming will be more Final Fantasy VII Remake, which I’ll ...
Paranoia Agent episode 9 part 1!
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~This episode is fun. It’s fun! I like this a lot. It’s a very fun format, and they’re doing fun things with it. Four goofy gossips standing around telling horror stories. I love it. I hope the second half of the episode is just more of this. That’s all for this liveblog. Up next is going to be the second Patron Pick for the month, Baccano! We’ll be starting episode 9 of that on Wednesday. As for streaming, I’ve been having a blast with Final Fantasy VII Remake. I’ll be continuing that tomor...
Steven Universe Future episode 20--The Future!
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~And that’s……the show. That’s Steven Universe. That’s the end of the most important show I’ve ever watched. That was…perfect. I wasn’t sure if they were going to nail it, but they did. I was crying through half the episode, really blubbering. I could barely take it. This was SO good.Steven Universe…what a show. This show was so important. It broke so much ground, and it affected my life in countless ways. I don’t know where I’d be without Steven Universe, but I don’t think I’d be ...
Steven Universe Future episode 19--I Am My Monster!
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~…Man. I’ve been saying “He’s finally breaking down! He’s finally breaking through! He’s finally going to let it out!” for so long that it’s almost surreal to see it actually happen this time. Steven’s tears are well-earned. The love he’s receiving is well-needed, and well-earned, and it’s been too long without an active amount of love instead of a passive amount of love. He needed this, and it’s SO good to see those tears finally flow. A good cry will clean him out and let him g...
Steven Universe Future episode 18--Everything's Fine!
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I WAS RIGHT I KNEW IT HE’S GOING TO TURN INTO THAT GIANT MONSTERHOW THE HELL ARE THEY GOING TO GET HIM BACK FROM THATHOLY SHITTHIS IS NUTSHoly shit! And him saying all that stuff and sliding directly into actually voicing his pain and fear and self-loathing. That was intense. I know we’re only a couple episodes from the end, but damn, it’s all coming together. This is going to be nuts. The episode also didn’t play so much with the cringe as with the sympathy we feel for Steven in his current sta...
Steven Universe Future episode 17--Homeworld Bound!
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I’m not sure that sits well with me. Steven’s gripped by a lot of emotional instability right now, but an enraged, traumatized attempt to shatter White Diamond? Not that she doesn’t have it coming after everything she’s done, but it seemed outside Steven’s character. I guess I was wrong. I guess I was wrong about just how severely he needs help. He’s spiraling completely out of control.(To clarify, she’s genuinely trying to be better and genuinely trying to help people now. She shouldn’...
She-Ra episode 11--Promise part 2!
Click here for the full episode.Click here for just this part.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~That was really good. Easily the best episode of the show thus far. We really got to dig in to Adora and Catra’s relationship, really got to see what makes Catra tick, and we got to see her really come into her own confidence and, on the surface of things, finally leave Adora behind. The promise is fully broken now, from both sides. I don’t know that there will be any more saving each other, any more going easy on each other. They’ve chosen their sides completely ...
APRIL FOOLS! OG She-Ra episode 1!
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~HAPPY APRIL FOOL’S DAY EVERYBODYUp next is going to be the actual conclusion to episode 11 of She-Ra on Friday. Streamwise, I may stream tomorrow, but I don’t know. We’ll see! If I do stream, it’ll be DOOM Eternal.Anyways, thank you for tuning in, and for bearing with me during this...this. I love you guys. See you next year :P
She-Ra episode 11--Promise, part 1!
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Not gonna lie, this one is probably going to be my new #1 for the series. I’m having a really good time really getting into Adora and Catra’s friendship and seeing how they got to be the people they are today. It’s not what I was expecting going into this episode, but I really like it.They’re such an interesting pair, these two. I’m really sad that Catra’s going to stay with the Horde after this.Up next for the liveblog is going to be more She-Ra on Wednesday! Up next streamwise is going to...
Steven Universe Future episode 16--Fragments!
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~A patron gained access to the Minecraft server from this liveblog, so check your email if you're a $5 patron or higher and haven't gotten access to the server yet.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~HOLY FUCK YOU GUYSTHAT WAS…HOLY SHITHOLY SHITYOU WEREN’T KIDDING THAT THIS ONE WAS A “HOLY SHIT” EPISODEThat was intense. Oh my god. Oh my god! That’s an all-timer. That really had me going. The suspense! The execution! I was really strung along! And watching Steven really get into the fight was horrifying all ...
Steven Universe Future episode 15--Mr. Universe!
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Ouch. That’s a pedestal broken. Steven is faced with the fact that his dad may not actually know what’s best for him, may have made some selfish choices, may be as responsible for the negative things in his life as Rose was. Well, okay, maybe not as responsible, but he’s up there. And that’s another pillar knocked down. What’s going to happen to Steven? What answer is he going to find? At this point, I have no idea. I do know that the next episode is apparently a “holy shit” episode. And...
Steven Universe Future episode 14--Growing Pains!
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~That…whew. Things really seem to FINALLY be coming to a head. It’s time to get this boy some god damn therapy! Woo! I’m so glad. I’m also really glad that Greg is going to be involved in helping Steven heal. It’s so good to see that connection in play again.Greg’s always been the most grounded, emotionally stable person in Steven’s life. If there’s anyone who can start guiding him towards healing, it’s Greg. I’m hoping the next couple episodes have him involved. That would be so goo...
Steven Universe Future episode 13--Together Forever.
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I HAVE VERY MIXED FEELINGS ABOUT THIS.On the one hand, a very large portion of the episode was extremely painful to watch. We’re talking, like, The New Lars levels of painful. I hated it while I was watching it. Watching my favorite ship get risked in a very in-universe stupid way was painful to watch. Like The New Lars, it was even in-character for Steven to do this, which is honestly…I’m not sure it’s worse than something like House Guest where Greg went OOC for the whole episode, but it cert...
She-Ra episode 10 part 2--The Beacon!
Click here for the full episode.Click here for just this half.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Well! Lots of setup in this one. This was mostly just an in-transit episode; we’re on our way to a couple things–solving Glimmer’s magical seizures and Adora getting a real primer on her powers–but we didn’t actually do much this episode besides set things up. Entrapta continues to be a delight, and Glimmer and her mom opening up to each other was good, if a little briefer than I would have liked, but mostly this episode suffered from being what’s in betwee...
She-Ra episode 10--The Beacon part 1!
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Oh, man, is Entrapta going to side with the bad guys for a while? She’s a simple woman, unversed in dealing with people, and when she’s not oblivious I guess that means she’s easy to manipulate. Poor Entrapta.Though…I saw a group shot from the original series a ways back, and I don’t think Entrapta was in it. Was she one of the bad guys originally? She’s got a pretty dark aesthetic.Anyways, the bright side is that if she joins the bad guys for a few episodes I’ll probably get to see more ...
Steven Universe Future episode 12--Bismuth Casual!
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~NOOOOOO I WANTED SMOOCHESSeriously, though, that was REALLY good. I was a little worried when I saw Connie that we’d have some real relationship drama and maybe end on a sour note, but, no, they’re fine–Steven just needed a little push and she was right there to catch him.No kidding, the Stevonnie segment is one of my favorite sequences in the entire show. I just went and rewatched it a couple times. That was SO good. I’d go so far as to say it was perfect–a perfect moment showcasing Steven a...
Steven Universe Future episode 11--In Dreams!
Click here for the liveblog.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Goodness, that was good. Emotional catharsis, dream editing, and surreal horror, all wrapped up in a Peridot-shaped package? Great stuff.I really like that Steven is breaking through his trauma and his depression gradually. We saw him confront a little piece of it here, just enough for him to really make progress and connect even more strongly with one of his friends.I find it interesting that it was Peridot who drew it out of him first. Of all people, Peridot. But then…Peridot and Steven have done s...
A Place Further Than the Universe episode 7 part 2!
Click here for the full episode.Click here for just this half.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Man, this show really gets to me sometimes. I actually teared up a little over Shirase’s face after she inspired cheers from the other expedition members. Good for her. Seriously. That was a great moment. All the people who made that promise are back, too.To see the sky……What a dream to have.I hope this expedition succeeds in their goals. It would be amazing to see them properly set up that observatory. And for Shirase to get a look at the stars her mother always ...
Baccano episode 8 part 2!
Click here for the whole episode.Click here for just this half.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~oh my god these two idiots oh my god I love themSeriously, they’re SO much fun. I think the only other time I’ve had this much fun with unintelligent characters is the Rubies in Steven Universe. They play them off so upliftingly. They really do spread happiness around them, just by being Like That. Even when the joke drags on a little too long, I find myself smiling.God, they’re great.Dallas is still an asshole, though.Up next for the liveblog is going to be the...
Paranoia Agent episode 8 part 2.
Click here for the whole episode.Click here for just this half.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I didn’t like that. It was painful to watch. Uncomfortable, and angering. Probably due to my personal history with suicidal urges, but I think that’s a pretty good reason to dislike it, honestly.I wonder if they were already dead, though. There’s a few tidbits from the episode and last time’s preview that make me think that. It would be an interesting twist, I think. They certainly survived some things that maybe should have killed them.Hrm.Anyways, I didn’t...
