Write checks, people 😂

Good morning!Yesterday I wrote about how God is like the bank and He gives us the checkbook. He wants us to use the checks! I think a lot of times we don’t feel “worthy” to write the check. I don’t know how it works in your household, but in mine my husband and my names are on the checks. He works and earns the majority of our income but guess what, I get to write checks using that money anyway! :) AND, he is glad that I do (because he doesn’t have to handle the bills or the budget :) But the point is, God made us to have this joint a...

Greater miracles!

Good morning,I was talking to my Patreon group 😘 in a Livestream and it is always very cathartic! We were talking about some of the reasons people have walked away from church. In a lot of cases, people haven’t seen or experienced the power of God or found the relationship with God that brings about better living. As I had mentioned, I feel like God is the bank and He handed us a checkbook. But if we don’t know that our Father owns the bank and gave us the checkbook, then we don’t operate out of His wealth. So, people walk away thinking w...

Shoe & Stocking Review-Patreon Version

Here is another shoe and stocking review! :)

Talking to God

Good morning!I sat at the DMV while my son went off to take his drive test. As I prayed, similar to many prayers before that, I wondered what to pray for. Do I pray for him to pass the test and exit into adulthood that much sooner? Or do I pray that he passes only if the Lord feels he is ready? Or do I selfishly pray that he doesn’t pass so I can keep driving him around and have wonderful conversations along the way?! :)The best thing about prayer is that it is simply talking to God. So, I prayed that God would guard and protect him and that ...

Again!

Good morning!Oh how the Holy Spirit leads……so amazing to me.I had a challenge…..deciding whether to go visit a friend or stay back to get things in order with my son’s school. There were multiple factors involved. I hemmed. I hawed. And in the end, decided not to go.I felt like such a horrible friend. I felt like I let her down. Upon talking to her, I realized that I hadn’t let her down but yeah, the back and forth with all the factors to consider was a bit of a roller coaster for her. Then I felt rotten again. But, as she said, it was...

Refocus

Good morning!Much like the rest of the world, I can get caught up in all that is happening around me and get pretty wound up. I am always surprised by how that can sneak up on me. I know we were promised by Jesus Himself that in this world we WILL have trouble! BUT, we are to take heart! Why? Because He overcame the world!I was talking to me friend who has a very good perspective on this subject and he admitted to me one day that he got wound up and then recognized that he had and so praised God for a good half hour to undo that mess.Boy oh boy...

Abide

Aug 3, 2022Good morningReading a devotional I was doing with friends, I stopped and payed attention to a portion of a familiar verse:“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. From John 15:1-3The familiar part to me was that the branches that don’t bear fruit are taken away by HIM and the ones that do bear fruit, He prunes. Bot...

Undivided

I Hear His Whisper...Give me your undivided heart. My beloved, surrender your life’s purpose to me. In my realm, there is no place for a divided heart, for all must be given to me. All that you hold in your hands and all that distracts you, lay down before me. You will arise and not fall; you will ascend into my glorious flames, where passion and purity unite. Come away, my true friend, and make my world your home. This is what you were created for. A lifestyle of uninterrupted union with me is the foundation for a truly blessed life. When you ...
