January Progress
January was a strange month for me. I was diagnosed with depression and PTSD and started treatment. Since I started taking medication I haven't had any anxiety attacks and I don't have mood swings as severe as they were in the last two years. On the other hand, adjusting to the medication made me almost like a zombie. The entire January was like a blur and most of my depleted mental strength was used to keep working on commissions and filing taxes. However, the doctor said, and I believe him since I have friends who are taking antidepre...
December Progress
This month was better than the previous one. I finished one scene and am looking forward to having some progress in January. Hopefully when the new fiscal year has started it will be easier to get a job. So far I see more jobs at the dispatch so this looks promising. Also, I found some alternative routes to try that. Income alternative to commissions would free a lot of time to work on the cartoon.I love you guys. Just noticed something.
November Progress
I'm sorry to say this, but I couldn't finish any work on the cartoon this month because of a hole in the budget left from buying a car. I needed to close it to avoid fines. I was able to do it with a few days to spare, but it wasn't enough to make any noteworthy progress on the cartoon. As I said last month, the path ahead of me is straightforward, but still rather unstable as I'm trying to settle in the new country and get up.Thank you for staying with me and continuing to support my project! You're awesome!Project status:S...
October Progress
In October I finished the application process for the apprenticeship. I didn't get in this time but at least now so the next half-a-year is a rather straightforward process with an entry-level job in the field. Hopefully, it'll leave me with more free time for the cartoon, compared to commission work.During the month I was working on the storyboards for the last third of the cartoon. Some of them look promising so I decided to leave them for a while and look at them again in a couple of months. For now, I returned to animating scenes I ...
September Progress
During the month I finished one scene. And sketched storyboards of a couple of versions for the ending but none of them "clicked". I have the idea but I still need to figure out how to make it exactly. Funny how creating action scenes is kinda easier compared to creating emotional scenes. I guess I'm just better at imagining movement, than mood. I guess I'll keep working on scenes I have for now and leave the ending until I know for sure how it's supposed to look.As usual, you guys are awesome! Thank you for staying with me ...

Unexpected.
August Progress
It was a busy month. I finished the math course and applied for an apprenticeship program. Now I have a few months of a lull while I get through the application process. I hope to use it to make some more progress on the cartoon but I also had to open commissions since a few months of study without work drained part of my savings.Besides finishing my studies I also finished rough frames for a scene. The scene ended up being harder than I expected since it shows a reaction to an unexpected. I made several revisions before finally finding a good ...
July Progress
Finished one scene (though it only has background) and was a few days short of finishing another scene but got sick (nothing serious, just a common cold but an angry one). Not the most productive month for me to be honest, but at least I'm still able to work on the cartoon. Thyroid medications work great so it seems thyroid really was one of the major reasons for my low productivity last year. Thanks to that I got some progress with my studies and was able to work on some other stuff in my life. At least that's really improving.Thank yo...
June Progress
My commission income dropped drastically and studio jobs here pay poverty wages so now I'm studying for a career change. Don't worry, it doesn't mean I'll have less time to work on the cartoon. Most likely it'll be the opposite since the commission work schedule was bizarre and way over the normal 40 hours a week.Plus it turned out I had thyroid issues for quite some time which might explain why I was so slow and unproductive last year. Of course, psychological issues from the war and me losing my home also play a significan...

Going for a trip.
May Progress
Things are getting better and I have a general plan of what to do with my situation. There are still some unknowns and risks though. But at least for the next two years, I have some relative stability.I'm halfway through another scene. Sorry, I wasn't able to finish it before the end of the month.Thank you all for staying with me through these difficult times! You help me to keep moving. I appreciate that very much.Project status:Script: ~95% doneAnimatics: 87 scenes out of ???Character animation: 23 scenes out of 85+Backgrounds: 24 sce...
April Progress
This month I was able to finish two scenes. One of them was published. I'm still in process of transition even if I managed to finish most of the stuff I had to do when I just arrived. I'm working on improving my situation and if all go well I might even be able to dedicate more time on that cartoon. As always thank you very much for staying with me and keeping supporting my passion project. March Progress
Sorry, settling into a new place is taking a lot of energy and mental resources and I also learned that I have to pay an estimated quarterly tax here. Figuring it out without any accountants who would've agreed to take a new client and didn't cost an arm and a leg took way too much effort.Anyway, in March I finished one scene out of the three I was working on. Hoping to finish those during April.Thank you very very much for your continuous support of my passion project!Project status:Script: ~95% doneAnimatics: 87 scenes out of ???Chara...

Kulkuri, the hobo demon
Drew my character from the Infernum game. Kulkuri is a prideful ambitious hobo demon who started playing the hellish game - conquer or die. So far its conquests are... modest. But it's just a few weeks old, practically still a demonic larva. Everything is still in the future.
February Progress
I started working on a group of three similar scenes but wasn't able to finish it because I needed to prepare to move to another country. Now I'm in USA and honestly I have absolutely no idea how everything will go. Either way I will still be spending my spare time on the cartoon. Until the war is over and I'm able to return home and rebuild my life again I can't be certain of anything. I'm sorry I can't entertain you with the finished cartoon soon enough. I'm very grateful that you're still supporting my passion...

What is she writing?
December Progress
Huh. I was sure I had published this.Well. December was a difficult month. To be honest, the whole year was difficult and I have no idea how will 2023 will go. My visa application was denied and I'm unable to return back home. We're no longer renting our old apartment and my friend helped to collect some of our belongings. Two times we had to leave our home with two bags of belongings and that felt like we had lost everything for the third time. We won't be able to return back home until the war is over and I'm not sure it will ...

New challenger appears!
November Progress
Still struggling but at least I managed to find enough time to finish another scene. The future is uncertain. It's been over a month since I submitted my visa application and I still didn't get the reply. At least the immigration bureaucracy is working again and there are already Russians who finally got their Ukrainian residency permits renewed so my chance of returning home now is higher than zero, which is promising. Power outages back home will make working difficult if I'll be able to return but at least it'll be just a sch...

The roof octopus has to keep going.
October Progress
For entire month I was running across Italy back and forth trying to get all the papers needed for a visa and by the end of the month I applied for a visa! However because of that I didn't have enough spare time to work on the cartoon and I fell way behind in my work schedule. Sorry, but this month I made no progress on the cartoon. On the brighter side - I don't need to run with papers for some time and in Ukraine there is a law in the working which will allow me to return back home. This makes me cautiously optimistic.Thank you all for...

Metal Demon
A random metal-themed demon character idea that has been bugging me for a few weeks.
September Progress
Well. Okay, it took me almost a year to finish that scene. I started this scene in February and then the war and a whole lot of problems related to that fell and keep falling on me. But at least in September I finally managed to finish the scene I started in the past life.Meanwhile, my paperwork moved from the dead spot and me and my wife are currently looking for possibilities for our future. So far it doesn't look good but we'll manage and I'll find time and energy to continue my work on this cartoon.Thank you all for staying with...

Sugar is also essential.
August (non)Progress
This month even more problems piled up. My only way to withdraw money got suspended and I'm trying to fix it with the service's exceedingly slow support. Same with my wife's account. We've been trying to find a way to fix that + trying to get all documents for a visa + attempting to find alternatives in case we won't be able to return back home + still working on commissions to earn money and looking for a way to legalize income in a country with a very unreliable and inconsistent bureaucracy.I'm sorry, but I have nothin...
