FCFS Bundle + a few updates
Dear all, I've been a bit more reserved with news the last few days, but I'm working every day to make the 10 Year Anniversary Kickstarter page as rewarding as possible.I have decided to lower the price for one single 10 Year Anniversary deck from 17β¬ to 15β¬. Yes, you get a gold foil deck with all the trimmings for just 15β¬! Tell me that this isn't insane :D In the image on top you see the "First Come First Served" bundle. It will be limited again to only 200. All items together are worth 115β¬ but you'll get the ...
Black Roses Fridge Magnet
For months I've been looking for a suitable little extra gimmick for my upcoming Kickstarter campaign. Today I finally had a flash of inspiration. The magnet has the size of a mini deck card and I hope the company who created my last popsicle magnet is able to realize this idea. Due to the thin magnetic strip, this could lead to difficulties but we will know more soon. If this is feasible, you can look forward to further variations until your fridge door is full :DMuch loveDaniel

Beauties, the black Orbit x Tally-Ho deck is live now on orbitworld.us.With the discount code "blackroses" you'll get 10% off on your entire order. To my knowlege there are just a bit more than 1500 decks available on the Orbit website. Make sure to snap a few decks before they are all gone. The black decks are even more interesting now because of the numbered seal sticker. This deck was produced especially for Cardtopia. In this previous post, I explained that I redesigned the entire back design and tuck box to make everything as cle...

10 Year Anniversary Edition Renders
Due to communication problems caused by the language barrier, there were a few annoying and unnecessary delays in the production of the 10 Year Anniversary deck. While the new printer finished the Phantom and Black Roses 2014 replica decks within 2 weeks, WJPC hasn't even started yet. Gladly we have still plenty of time. But I took a big financial risk, with the knowledge that I will have the cards before the campaign starts, so I can advertise with the final deck. I hope that the cards will still be finished this year, but they couldn'...

Sunny Days
You might have noticed that I talk a lot lately about the 10 Year Anniversary Edition but I didn't release any other standard Black Roses deck this year. Well... That will change next year."Sunny Days" Edition. My goal is for you to feel a positive/wholesome vibe when you use this edition."Sunny Sky" is the name of a yellow rose and I thoughts that it would be a great name for the yellow version but sadly this is a legally protected name. For whatever reason you have to legally protect a rose name but someone must have thoug...
π Black Roses Ghost Hunt π»
Hey, I'm glad you're here!Five ghosts are up to mischief at blackroses.cards. I could use some help catching them all. They hide pretty well but if you catch them, they'll drop a full shopping cart with huge discounts of 50% and more! Thanks for your help!Much loveDaniel
Gilded Phantoms (Video)
Beauties, these are the gilded Phantom decks. Only 200 of them exist and I have no doubt that they will sell out fast. There will be no reprinting, no matter how much interest there is in the end. Now smash the β‘-button! :DI could not be happier with the printing company. Customer service on point:The annual Halloween ghost hunt on blackroses.cards starts again tomorrow. More information will be available tomorrow. However, one ghost has already hidden on the website. Find the ghost and it will lead you to a fully packed shopping cart with 50...
Tally-O!
The last Tally-Ho x Orbit deck (at least with this back design) will drop on Cardtopia. Some rare Orbit news you're hearing here for the first time. πYes, Black Tally's. But it's not just a recolored version. I have redrawn the whole back design and tuck box to make the damn deck even more sexy πI have asked Chris for permission to post about it. So you will have to keep this information to yourselves until Halloween. Seriously. πIt's a very limited print run for Orbit dimensions and it comes with a numbered seal sticke...
Holographic Black Gilding (Video)
Your votes in yesterday's poll are pretty clear. You prefer black gilding. Before the survey went online yesterday, however, I already thought to myself - why not holographic black gilding? Black gilding on steroids. I wasn't sure if it's really possible but WJPC sent me the video today that you can above. So we will have 2 x 250 limited gilded decks. 250 holographic gold gilded decks and 250 holographic black gilded decks. Both with a numbered seal sticker.Much loveDaniel
Black Roses Phantom
The new printing company is crazy. It took them 12 days to finish the deck. And the decks were on hold in the meantime because a 50K deck order was ahead of them.On Monday they will add gilding on 200 decks. Then they are ready to ship.Zoom in and take a closer look at the shadow on the back design. That was the only detail I was a little worried about because I didn't know how it would look printed. I couldn't be happier with the result.A detail that isn't really visible in the image on top is the embossing. Matte white tuck box wit...
Holographic Gold Gilded
I was a little hesitant because I wasn't sure it wouldn't clash with the gold on the back, but 250 holo gold gilded 10 Year Anniversary decks with a numbered seal sticker will be available in my next Kickstarter campaign for the 10 Year Anniversary Edition. Now hit the β‘-button if you like the idea! πTrust me, it will look even cooler than on the renders, it's just crazy difficult to render holo gold foil. :D The holo gold gilded deck will be 1 of 2 gilded 10 Year Anniversary decks.Much loveDaniel
Join annually and save!
First of all, if you don't change anything, everything remains the same with your tier on Patreon but after almost 4 year on Patreon I thought it's time to update the different tiers visually.I have also added a 4th reward tier where you will receive 6 free decks and 25% off my entire store every 2 months. I created this tier with a little wink, but still, you will of course be rewarded adequately if you choose this reward. In case you haven't noticed, you can now choose to pay for Patreon on an annual basis. Itβs a great way to sh...
Black Vintage Casinos (Video)
The Black Vintage Casinos are (finally) finished. Look at this sexy thang π The cards will be very soon on their way to the Murphy's Magic warehouse by sea freight.π https://blackroses.cards/products/black-vintage-casinoPW: veritasBecause of the tuck box paper I had to pay a lot more than I originally thought. You can help me a lot to cover the costs by pre-ordering the remaining decks.Half of the black gilded decks are already gone.Much loveDaniel
In case you ever wondered...
how 1000 uncut sheets look like:The Black Roses 2014 replica deck and the Phantom Edition get printed with a different company in China. Their turnaround time is unbeatable right now, that's why I also keep it a secret where I print these cards. π However, they print on the same German paper, so you can expect the same high quality you already know from the Innocence Holo deck.
Modernization of the Dondorf courts
For the Dondorf deck, which I released in 2021, I photographed and digitized the face cards of an old Dondorf deck from the late 19th century. The idea of the deck was to recreate everything as faithfully as possible. That's why I didn't draw the court cards from scratch at the time. However, since 2021, my goal has been to redraw the courts to make them look like "modern" courts. So far I've had a few attempts but never pursued it simply because it's so incredibly time consuming, but now I've finally got the ball rol...

Black Roses Sticker Sheet #1
Due to an emergency at the person who is mainly responsible for my website orders, I could not offer the stickers earlier, although they have arrived in the warehouse at the beginning of September.Go to www.blackroses.cards and add anything to the cart. You get the stickers in the first few days for free to anything that you order.Much loveDaniel
Phantom Seal Sticker / Details
The votes of the last poll are clear. You have to admit that it is kinda funny that you want to spend more for the same deck just because of a numbered seal sticker. Anyway, I want you to know that this survey was not in vain. We are going to print 1000 decks with a numbered seal.As I write this, I look at the numbers on the seal sticker in thumbnail and think they are way too big :D It's the same sticker design that I used for the Black Roses White Gold Edition - my very first deck with a numbered seal. I guess I need to take a look at thi...
Phantom
I've been racking my brain for the past few weeks about what deck would be the perfect add-on deck for the 10 Year Anniversay Kickstarter campaign. Yesterday I found the answer - the Black Roses Phantom Edition. Back in February I already talked about the deck a bit.I do my best to send the cards to the printer this week. I'll share more of the deck with you in the next few days.Hit the β‘-button so that I know that you like the idea and feel free share your thoughts in the comments.Much loveDaniel

One Way Forcing Deck
I have been asked yesterday if I had ever thought of doing a force deck. The answer is yes, but since I couldn't gauge the level of interest, I never pursued the idea further. However, I just thought, "Let's do it." Murphy's is going to send me a bunch of Black Roses V1 decks next week. I will assamble them all to One Way Forcing Decks. What is a One Way Forcing Deck?A One Way Forcing Deck consists of identical cards, except for the top and bottom card of the deck. The spectator can see these two cards and will think that it&#...
