Crystal Castles - Char (Buunshin Bootleg)
One of my best friends (my barber) and I listen to a lot of music whenever he cuts my hair. One day we were listening to Crystal Castles and just vibing really hard; thats when he challenged me to make a bootleg of this song; and so I did. I got the idea down literally in the barbershop that same day and worked on the bootleg a lot more after that. Shoutout to my boy Neil! when i was listening to starshopping for the first time i felt really captured by the sound. its so raw and unfiltered. the lyrics hit me like a ton of bricks and i felt like i could feel what he felt. I had to make my own version of the song to try and incorporate it into my sets, except it became something i was never really able to play out. my rules of making basslines
