Danny's Diner - Feedbag Challenge Comic Page 1 WIP21

The last step in our process is the shading and lighting. We mention those two things as if they're separate steps, but really they are one in the same. You have to determine where your light is coming from before you can shade properly and the shading will show everyone where your light source is. A strategic placement of 2-dimensional shadows here and there in the scene will also help convey this sense of depth.

Looks like we had a slight disagreement on the base flat colors, so some of those were changed around before the shading started!

Well, here it is! I did this on stream, and if you were there I hope you enjoyed yourself! This was a really fun piece to do! Really enjoying the style I've been experimenting with.

I sat down yesterday and sketched this out, believe it or not! Took 'til two in the morning, but it was so fun I just couldn't stop! :DThis is not exactly a finished picture, I want to color it a little later, but this is what I ended up with that night. ^^

More lines, getting pretty close to getting these ones done so that colors can go onto the page. Also, once the lines are done we'll be working on putting shading on Page 1 to finish it completely. :)

While Seg was working on the colors for Page 1, Agro was hard at work getting the second page together. Already 1/3rd of the lines are in already, and as you can see we're already getting into the juicy stuff. ;)

Flat colors are all done. Now, the final step we're going to take here is with shading. We thought about it for a long while and decided that not enough artists offering comics on patreon are doing so with shading and such. So, in an effort to be different, we're going to shade our stuff for you all as well. :)

The colors are starting to go up on the first page and, what's this? Looks like we're already starting to sketch out the second page as well!While Agro is definitely the artistic genius behind OwliGator Studios, bringing their skill and style to every image, Seg is the colorist. June YCH: National Donut Day - WIP01

So this is the first WIP of the June YCH! We've got some of our OC's helping out the YCH with a nice fat donut! There are plenty of options for the YCH that we can't show in one pic! Hyper or Standard sized junk; Cut or uncut, Pussy or Hyper Pussy, and Breasts or Hyper Breasts!Brielle (The Gator) and Belva (The Triceratops) are characters from a setting that we hope to flesh out some day soon!

Grinding - WIP05

Did some more work on this Friday night, which I streamed! I'm not quite sure I'm happy with the direction I took the shading on Seg, I feel I went too dark and contrasted. I'll probably go back and fix that soon! Painting is such a process!

Whew! We finally have our internet back!In the time we were off the grid, I spent some time painting up this piece! WIP03 seems kinda redundant now that we have a WIP04, thus the gap.Really trying to work on my painting, and I'm fairly happy with how this is comming along so far! :}

Once the lines are all finished up, colors can be put on fairly quickly. All-in-all, sketching and inking take up 70-80% of the artistic process whether that be a comic page or a commission. Flat colors and most forms of shading take up the least amount of time and can usually be done pretty quickly.
