tuesday morning my little rabid wolf spider died. rabid wolf spiders only live about two years and it wasn't clear how old she was when i got her. but definitely at least a year by her size. a few weeks ago she stopped eating altogether and began moving very sluggishly. i could never hold her like a tarantula because wolf spiders are ridiculously fast and the risk of dropping her too great. being bitten was much less of a concern as wolf spider venom isn't particularly toxic. would have hurt i'm sure, but she never showed signs of a...

one of the last scans before my scanner went kaput. keen eyes might notice a thin white line slightly above center. this line only got worse with each subsequent scan.

there is a special kind of winter east wind that comes sweeping out of the canyons along the Wasatch Front. they are cold, bitter, fast, and sometimes deadly. on a few occasions they can make gusts over 90 mph and have been known to create windchills down to -40ยฐ f. anyhoo we had a milder one earlier this week.

last we left off Lulu was preparing to let get some tough stuff out. many apologies to people named Josh. most of you are really awesome people and one in particular is a really cool fellow. but in grade school there were three particular bullies all named Josh and it's challenging to dissociate the name. the character Josh came from my older comic A Javan Tiger but won't be seen in Tiger Tea beyond a passing mention.
