[ wip & wallpapers ] Beetle

DrawingThis is the set with moth GIF that i made a while ago!WIP gifThe whole process of work is almost the same as that of moth.If there's one difference, this time, I put more emphasis on the variety of sizes. Also I emphasized that they were shiny 💎I felt they were like jewels...In fact, there are some beetles that I drew that have jewelry in their names like jewel scarabs. The people who found them are all thinking the same thing.Everything I used is a very simple animation effect.Gloss effect and firefly's light.Add more shiny ef...

[ Drawing ] Butterfly and larva study

I studied butterflies this timebecause I planned to draw them with moths and sets from the beginning. Then, suddenly, I was attracted in larva stage. This happens often, that's the one reason even I don't know what I'm going to draw in the future 😂Insects are easy to draw if you think they are divided into three major body regions : head, thorax, and abdomen. (In Korea, we just call that head, chest, belly....easy to remember😁)It's a common characteristic of them.It just looks like one body, but even caterpillars have three ...

[ wip ] Rhino and Stag

DrawingsI was going to draw more kinds of beetles at first, but...😂Rhino and Stag beetles are the most popular pet bugs in my country and Japan.I've never raised them, but I feel friendly.I will draw Beetles again ( I think I'll make GIF next time)because I have not yet painted all the recommended beetles 😉WIP gifI liked chibi doodle in the last sketch, so I drew Hercules first as a test.I didn't made color thumbnail, but I've choose colors based on Hercules one, which I drew first as test.Because there are a lot of dark b...

[ drawing ] Beetles study

The beetles are the most common of all insects, we can see them everywhere. There are so many kinds of beetles that even if I paint 100 beetles every day until I die, I can't paint them all🤣I've always thought of drawing more beetles someday....There are so many kinds, it's really hard to choose what species to draw. They're all shiny like jewels💎So I drew some of the beetles that I actually saw around me or my personal favorite first. What is your favorite beetle?I'll try to include them like last time I drew the moths ...

[ wip & wallpapers ] Moth

At first, I was going to draw like this, but...Somehow I felt like they were the stuffed animals.I want the animals I draw is always look alive. So I turned each moth a little bit.But still it felt like stuffed insect collection to me.I started drawing this picture earlier than the luna & rosy maple moth I drew a few days ago.I didn't like this part, so I thought I couldn't finish it. So I stopped for a while. After then I thought, let's just make it into an animation GIF😁It's the surest way to show that they're alive.WIP g...

[ wip ] Moth ( Luna, Rosy maple, Marbled emperor, Comet )

idea sketchThese four moths all have different colors but it's same series. So I drew it on the same canvas :)WIP gifYou can see that the color thumbnails and the final results are very similar.I used soft pastel tones because I felt they were like good fairy.Rosy maple moth is smallest of the silk moth, they are 1.25~2 inch.Emperor moth is 6cm, but luna moth and comet moth are big.Luna moth is 10 ~ 17 cm (4.5~ 7inch) and Comet moth's wingspan of 20 cm!I have never actually seen big and colorful moths because I live in the city..but I h...

[ wip ] Blueberry frog

[WIP] Sweet lemon frogWIP gifI used almost blue and purple color. But you can found Yellow color too :DI've used yellow color very little...Like gold dust sprinkled on a gourmet dessert. [ wip ] Jellyfish Day

November 3rd is World Jellyfish Day!It started almost exactly the same as last week's sea slug and shrimp pics...I made some changes to the layout.WIP gifI've changed the position of the jellies.Blue -> YellowRed text was the scientific name or name of jelly that I drew for reference. Some jellies are not real true jellyfish. So I was concerned about whether to draw them or not...But I painted it because after I searched for some articles and wiki and hashtags, it felt like we were celebrating them together on world jellyfish day!Searchin...

[ Next rewards poll ] Pin vs Tape vs Acrylic (~24. Nov)

* Multiple voting is possible! So far, Pin has always won, but Acrylic charm was very close last time.I wonder what the result will be!I will prepare the designs with the product that won the vote. And then do design poll after this :)I don't know what I will make in this stage, so it's totally up to you guys! And depending on the number of votes I'll be able to consider for the additional orders. In case of acrylic, the number of Minimum Order Quality is less than other product, so If they loses in the vote, I can make it and you can o...

[ wip ] Freshwater shrimp

* idea sketch (2017)It's the same series that follows the sea slug day that I drew a few days ago.I've done similar paintings since 2 years ago, but they're simpler and more shrimp this time. There are many kinds of freshwater shrimp and seaslug.I could draw more, but...I think this is the maximum best number on mobile device.Maybe I drew more than 50 shrimps/seaslugs in one frame before I had a smartphone. However, more than 80 percent of people see pictures on their mobile phone. And most people don't click/enlarge the picture.A ...

[ wip / wallpaper ] Sea Slug Day

It's little late, but Oct 29 was Sea Slug Day and I want to draw many nudibranch.. :DThere are so many kinds of beautiful nudibranch in the world.I drew a similar painting in 2017, but it's much more round and simple shape this time.WIP gifI started with a circle from the beginning. This time, I've just colored improvised with my usual favorite color combinations without color palette. (It would have been better to prepare a color palette. )So at the end, I had to changed the order of sea slug. For example, there's only one green ...

[ wip / wallpaper ] Sweet Lemon frog

After I made pin,I often saw lemon frogs and it made me wanted to draw more.WIP gifThis picture would have been monotonous if I had only used yellow / brown.so I added some green/blue.Some lemon looks like green/blue if we add blue curacao syrup. (It's a syrup that is used a lot for cocktails.)It could have been lime and lemon haha.I was originally planning to draw only 10 of them, but I thought it would be good to make them into theme icons, so I drew a few mores.I'll also make it a desktop icon later😉-------------------------------...

#2 : Money is goneIt's a follow-up sticker after ver.1The shrimp's design is almost the same as before, but the antenna is definitely shorter.Because short is better for animation.I still feel like it's long, so I want to make it shorter... But if I make it too short, shrimp'll look like a different character.#3 : Tea timeI am a lover of Tea.I can feel flower garden whenever I drink flower tea.I wanted to express that feeling.16 frame. But I think it's little fast, so I'll add 4 more frame.20framesMaybe I should go back t...
