This week we're really pleased to release the first life photoset from the wonderful Scarlett Fae, singer, songwriter and life model. Scarlett first because involved with Draw through Jade Hylton's Drawversity programme in 2021, an initiative to make life modelling more accessible to people of colour. As we were shooting this photo-set, Arthur and Lilith arrived at the studio in their customary charity-shop finery, their mutual sense of style and eye for a bargain informing two incredibly strong colour-themed outfits. For the first set of poses we wanted to create a formal, family portrait feel with awkward poses reminiscent of an Otto Dix painting; the subtle variations in gaze and hand gesture differentiate one reference image from another, each combination creating a different dynamic.
