Queen of ♦️

Dear patrons, time flies and unfortunately I didn't manage to get the Patreon-exclusive Black BR Vintage Casino deck into print this month. One reason was my friend Alina. I wanted to have her in this deck but waited forever for a photo :DThey will definitely be going into production in May, but I would also have a spot available as a Jack of Hearts. Let me know if you are interested. If so, I'll post more information in an upcoming post.Much loveDaniel

(Empty) Black Roses Altrosa Collector's Box

The idea of offering a collector's box with each Black Roses deck began with the Black Roses Altrosa Edition in 2019. One BRSC member wrote to me, hoping to still be able to get an empty box from me. For this reason, I had a small number of boxes re-produced. I figured some of you probably don't have this box in your collection either and would like to complete it.If you are interested, check the link below and use "Altrosa" as purpose.https://www.paypal.me/blackrosescards/15You'll receive an Altrosa Collector's Box with...

Redrawn Standard Vintage Faces (PDF Download)

A few days ago I bought an old "well used" Great Mogul Playing Cards deck on ebay for under 3€. As you can see in the image, the court cards already have the standard design that USPCC uses today. I couldn't find out the exact production year of the deck. Either 1938 or 1958 - vintage in any case and you can see the vintage touch in every detail. I've wanted to redesign vintage style faces for a long time and thanks to this deck I finally put the idea into action. You can download the faces now on my website. The page is still ...

Black Roses 10 Year Anniversary Edition

Dear Patrons, I have decided not to release the purple Black Roses before the 10 Year Anniversary Edition. In terms of the 10 year edition, another deck in between feels like a gap filler on which I can not fully concentrate and obviously I don't want that. The Kickstarter release for the 10 year edition will be on February 10, 2024 and ends on my birthday, February 19. But that doesn't mean you won't get any new decks from me this year, quite the opposite. In the preview image you can see a test rendering from @casparperkin. He creat...

MxS Stingers Collector's Box

Although the cards are still in the final stages of production, I have already received the collector's boxes today. Since I don't have a completion date yet, I unfortunately can't say when the cards will be available. Optimistically thought I hope for mid-April. The collector's box also won't cost a single cent more than 4 regular decks. The MxS Casino Stingers Collector's Box is limited to only 200 boxes and comes with a numbered seal sticker. Joker Reveal

Dear Patrons, this month isn't my month… I have the flu now. After I got Covid at the beginning of the month. My head is burning up with fever - If you have any home remedies, they let me know. :DNevertheless, I wanted to show you the joker reveal I designed earlier this week.I'm pretty proud of the result 😃 It's well hidden when you don't pay attention to it yet super visible. This reveal is only for the black Patreon exclusive deck and I won't add it to the Pink BR Vintage Casino deck. My goal for the regular editions ...

Black BR Vintage Casino (Patreon Exclusive)

Dear Patrons, I have never been as quiet on Patreon as I have been this month. Thank you for beinig so patient with me. Corona hit me for the second time in the first half of the month. It wasn't as bad as the first time - that's what she said 👀 - but I was still struggling with concentration problems days later.Anyway, I wanted to come back with a happy announcement for you. The (black) Black Roses Vintage Casino deck is going to be the next Patreon exclusive deck.I'm currently toying with the idea of printing only 300 decks. I ...

Purple Rhapsody

Today I started working on the Excel list for the Innocence fulfillment. Besides that I thought about the edition name of the purple Black Roses - "Purple Rhapsody". In terms of phonetics, I like the name a lot. It only feels a little foreign. But I'm almost certain I just need to let it sink in first - like the purple color on the court cards. I realized that these colors are necessary to capture the right vibe of the deck.I wanted to share with you a little recap of the Innocence Kickstarter campaign. It's just a lot of though...

Gold Rose Shirt + BR V1 Cartamundi reprint

Beauties, in the night I had the idea for this shirt design. I wanted to implement it as soon as possible after getting up.How you get the shirt:Simply add 25€ to your current pledge on Kickstarter and send me a dm with your size. With the shirt you'll also get 1 rare Black Roses V1 Cartamundi reprint from 2019 on top, which is basically already worth 25€ so you really can't do anything wrong.https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/danielschneider/1864500792/As with any Kickstarter campaign, it slows down towards the end and many peopl...

"Purple Roses" Court Card Colors

I started finding new colors for the court cards yesterday but I quickly realized that I am most satisfied with the standard colors. For some reason this purple on the courts give the whole deck a more negative/dark vibe that I definitely don't want to have in my deck. Anyway, it's not to 100% my final decision yet. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.Due to a few backers who canceled, the Innocence project is unfortunately slightly in the red today compared to the previous day. A few gilded decks are also available again i...

Gold Innocence Coins

Beauties, I finally got my Innocence coins today and I'm relieved at how they turned out.You can add the Gold Innocence Coins to your pledge now. I can't offer the gold coins as regular Kickstarter add-on, since I don't want that everyone can get them. So we simply do it with the optional "bonus support" field. Under "manage your pledge" and "change your pledge" you'll find a field that says "Bonus support (optional)".https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/danielschneider/1864500792/1 coin: 12€ ($...

A look into the future

Let's take a little look into the future. Next year, to be precise.

Innocence Campaign Add-Ons

As you know from my previous campaigns, my projects are always very interactive. Spontaneously, new add-ons can be added that I might not have thought of at the beginning of the campaign. However, I also try to find a healthy middle ground in which I don't make too many additional offers. These are the add-ons right at launch:• Innocence coins | 12€• Pink Vintage Casino Playing Cards | 15€• Innocence Holo Deck [Prototype] | 25€• Blue gilded Innocence deck | 25€• Pink Vintage Casino Collector's Box | 60€https://www.kic...

This post should give you a visual impression of all the rewards and hopefully save you some time.I'll show you all add-ons in the next post.https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/danielschneider/1864500792Much loveDaniel

Innocence Coins (Video)

Check out the video and take a look at the Innocence coins. This is a video that my friend Jorge sent to me. He filmed it for me since I haven't received my coins yet, but I thought it would give you an honest first impression if I share it - of course with his approval.Talking about honesty - I was shocked when I got the first photos from the company. They didn't really look the way I imagined it would. The reason for this was misunderstandings in communication but also their really bad photos didn't make it better. Changes could no...

Pink Vintage BR Casino Cut Card

A while ago I talked so enthusiastically about the Bee cut card idea.Unfortunately, this idea is off the table for now.Message from USPCC:"Unfortunately Bee is not an open custom brand and the historical back is not permitted for use at this time.We haven’t allowed Bee for custom in over a decade, I’m hoping at some point we’ll be allowed to at least do a color change..."I tried to change the back a bit but I wasn't happy so I had to come up with a new idea. The Pink Polyantha cut card will replace the Bee design.A Pink Polyan...

Innocence Holo Trailer

Done by the man, the legend, the Kier of Clubs.Let us know what you think in the comments.Currently 533 people follow the pre-launch page on Kickstarter.https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/danielschneider/1864500792/What an incredible number when you think about it. It's a new milestone for my cards, and I hope it shows in the campaign. I've added a countdown on blackroses.cards so you can see when the campaign starts.Much loveDaniel

Guarantee card/ruler

I didn't really sleep very long today and am plagued by fatigue. However, I wanted to show you what beautiful ideas can be implemented even in this state :D I'm working on the final touches of the Pink Black Roses Vintage Casinos. There is one thing I have never seen on a custom deck before - a little text with a guarantee. So I had to do it and it fits perfectly on the back of the extra card with the Black Roses Casino sign.Whenever I need a ruler, there is none available. But playing card decks are always within reach. The printed rule...

Gilded Innocence decks

The project is getting closer with big steps and I still haven't decided 100% how many gilded decks there will be and in which color. But you can be sure that blue is going to be a thing.Let me know what you think.February 4, 7:00pm GMT live on Kickstarterhttps://www.kickstarter.com/projects/danielschneider/1864500792/Much loveDaniel
