In episode five of our Houdini course, the Vellum Playground, we will look at advanced cloth tearing techniques.We'll begin with a simple cloth simulation. We will define an initial state for the simulation, after which we'll use weld constraints to break our flag apart. I'll demonstrate several ways to control the tearing with attributes., including t what point in time the the cloth tears. Using the pyro source spread node, you'll learn how to create an infection simulation that can be used to control the cloth tearing.
