DS #43 pushed back a week
Hey guys, as I'm going to be out of town for ECCC for the better part of a week, to be safe I'm going to push Dark Science #43 back a week too. I've been grinding hard to see if I could get the page done in half the time, but it's not working out and I think it's safer (and smarter) to just hold off a week and use that time to build a buffer. Hey Seattle, it’s that time again! I’ll be at ECCC this Friday-Sunday (March 27-29) at Topatoco’s booth 1102. I’m right on the sky bridge, so I’m easy to find! Come on over, we’ll have a grand time. Star Wars Rebels
Who's seen this show? I think anyone who likes my approach with Star Wars '99 would really dig it. It actually uses a lot of old Ralph McQuarrie designs, and also essentially pretends the prequels never happened (aside from a couple ties to the Clone Wars cartoon). It's a really, really good show that actually feels like a Star Wars story in a way that I haven't seen since the 90s.

Dark Science Act 3 Character Sheet
Thought you guys might like this- at the start of each chapter, I put together a basic style guide and reference sheet for the main characters. It's also a time when I get to tweak and update my overall style. The general rule I like to adhere to is to be stylistically consistent within each act/chapter of Dark Science, but allow myself some room for growth and development at the start of a new one. So I decided to put together an updated influence map for my work! Here are the artists who are the biggest influence on my visual and storytelling style. These discussion questions have been really great this week! I've got one more for you: who's your favorite fictional cyborg? 1 - They must be composed of both organic and mechanical components. This is more off-beat for Dresden Codak, but I have my reasons! Who's your favorite superhero? For me, my favorite comic growing up was Thor, but if I'm just going by the character, my all-time favorite is Spider-Man.
