What I've been up to.

Okay, you might have noticed a lack of updates here other than the next day uploads. The reason is; I’ve been busy.I’ve always wanted to make video games, but it’s always something I would do “later.” That’s why you’ll find SSDD on “poisonedminds.com” The idea was to have a number of projects on that site alongside SSDD but that project overshadowed everything else. The Savage Chicken: A greeble test.

This is a render of the Savage Chicken. The ship from Mark Stanleys' Freefall. I used it as a test of "greebling" before I made the model of the Excalibur 11. Tessa's low poly helmet.

Been playing around with Blender a lot recently and I'm giving Substance Painter a shot too. Getting pretty good at making meshes now, but I'm now trying my hand at UVs and other maps. That's still a work in progress, but I thought I would share this early attempt with you.

Hysteria Walking.

I've still teaching myself Blender and I've been using Minzoku's character Hysteria to do it. It's a little stiff but as I'm still learning. I can give myself a pass for my first from scratch character model that I rigged, skinned, IKed and animated.Edited to make her waddle less.

Today I realised something. I'm getting conflicting sums of money that I'm receiving. One says I'm getting $613.56 per month. The other is $720. I asked my discord what they see and it's clear what's happened.Some arse clown has made it so my total in POUNDS STERLING had a fucking dollar sign next to it! So I was getting $720 and telling you I had way less.FFS.Anyway, I'm fixing this now.

Flesh wants to lay in bed and watch YouTube. Been trying to get a day ahead of SSDD to post here but I've only got one comic a day in me atm. I find this very frustrating. Right now, getting down to Tesco is the equivalent of a full workout the the gym (who's membership I pay by the year. So I'm wasting that too).What's worse is that I am feeling better. Just enough to forget and over do things and make myself feel rough again. I know it's not my fault, but I still feel the need to apologize. I will make up for this.

Still not dead.

I'm pretty sure. I'm a bit too sore to be dead. Anyway this is to let you know that I had the surgery and it went to plan. It does mean I have ANOTHER pipe coming out of me to make sure liver bile doesn't get in my system. It melts fat. Guess what cells are made of.Anyway I'm going to be here for another few days yet. They want to be sure the jaundice is gone before they let me go. But as I've stopped peeing treacle, I think I'm heading in the right direction. I can't wait to start drawing again.

Update: Robot Rock.

I have surgery booked for next Friday. It'll be keyhole surgery preformed by a robot. Very sci-fi. However I've already had a procedure to put a drain in my liver. They couldn't drain into my intestines, so I have a pipe coming out of me into a bag. Because of the bag, I can't go home. Too dangerous if I knock the Mac Donald's straw out. Besides, my jaundice got quite bad. Risk of liver failure bad. So they want to keep an eye on me regardless. So yeah, you'll have to wait for more SSDD. Trust me. I would rather be doing...

Still Alive.

Right now I'm in a hospital bed, nill by mouth (again) awaiting surgery. This is the clear the blockage to my liver and to clear the jaundice so they can then pull out my gallbladder.I've been making more up to date um updates on my discord but I thought a post here wouldn't go amiss.Sadly I can update the site from this phone a I know most don't check here or the discord so that's a pain. I'll probably be here until next week so no updates for some time again but I hope to be drawing again soon.

In hospital.

Sorry for missing updates but I'm in hospital right now. Most likely a gallstone blocking my liver. It hurts when I eat and it looks like I pee treacle. Isn't your life enriched knowing that fact. So yeah. Probably going for surgery at some point. I'd love to make updates as it's something to do, but sadly I can't drag my desk here. Sorry.

Okay, it's been almost nine years since I updated the prices on Patreon and they have to be raised. I don't like doing it especially in the current climate, but it needs doing. Especially because the way I incentivise. You might notice the magic number of $600. That's the incentive to have a comic every day of the week.
