Tesla Coil maybe?
Elektor has asked if I wanted to make a video about any of the kits in their shop, so naturally I asked for the big "musical tesla coil". Now they claim that that model is backordered, so they offered me the smaller version or a GPS nixie clock instead.I've quickly illustrated the dimensions of both products to show them what they can expect in my video with each model. Hope it is convincing enough :)

Bought a pair of 'chain mail' gloves
to play around with arcs from a tesla coil that someone wanted to send me. But that might not happen after all because I haven't heard from them in weeks :-\

I've made a "proper" electronic load and now some component on the PSU popped. Even triggered the circuit breaker :|As one of you mentioned, these are made for audio applications, so usually expect balanced load of the + and - rails. What the OSMU will do can be completely unbalanced, so I'll have to find or make a better PSU

Got the bipolar switching power supplies and didn't think about how much power I was putting into that poor resistor. I think it was rated for something like 10W ...
Not sure if this is really all that useful ....

Difficult is good, but ...
... getting into DIY quadcopters is just overwhelming. I got this Beebee 66 micro racing quadcopter and there is absolutely no info available anywhere. They just assume that everyone knows about transmitters and receivers, iBus and PPM, betaflight and angle mode, accelerometer calibration, arming, ........I am thinking about bypassing all that (artifically ?) complicated stuff and just controlling the brushless motor drivers with a microcontroller directly. But then again it might be complicated for a reason?Either way there will be a LoRa cont...

would be transformer characterization. Usually it's difficult to find out everything about an unknown transformer: Turn ratio, inductances, losses, interwinding capacitance etc. If the basic idea works out as I imagine, it'll just be another function to implement in software. It could generate a known 50 Hz sine wave on one side, measure the output and even electrically load it ...
